I thought this was an ok movie. Certainly not the best picture made but it was good and I love Joan Bennett so I of course relished every moment she was in this movie.

Current Talk '05 I / Joan Bennett at the festivals
« on: June 03, 2005, 06:38:15 PM »
I am a huge Joan Bennett fan and I wanted to know if any of you had the opportunity to meet her when she was going to the festival. She seems like she was a very nice lady and I would just like to hear some of your stories of meeting her. I did read in the book The Bennett's An Acting Family that when she did go to the fest's that her memory was not what it used to be. But still to have an actress from the golden era of Hollywood would have to of been pretty exciting.

I wish that I had got to meet her but I did not starting watching DS until 1994 when I was in Jr. High School.

Thanks

1) My favorite Chris storyline is when he and Sabrina are held by Bruno.

2) A cure for him

3) Carolyn

4)Maybe they was killed by silver bullits

5)I think the show would have been just as good with Chris in it in the final years because I feel Don Briscoe brought alot to the show as an actor.

I always got angry when Barnabas was trying to make Maggie in Josette. I always thought he was crazy thinking he could change someones personality. Another thing that makes me angry is the last episode of DS doesn't really wrap up the show very well. These are just my opinions though.

This survey does make you think that something is in the works. You never know, maybe a network is thinking about bringing on DS again.

This is a very intersting OT that has been brought up. I am always telling my parents about how they don't make movies like they used to. Although I do like a few of the newer movies, nothing beats sitting back and watching an old B/W movie. In fact I would say I watch more older movies then I do the movies today. I love actors such as Joan Bennett, Jean Simmons, Joan Crawford, Joan Fontaine, James Stewart, Robert Mitchum. Some of my favorite directors are Hitchcock, Fritz Lang, Cecil B. DeMille.

Thanks for bringing this up.

I recently saw Dana Elcar (Sheriff Patterson) in in an episode of Alias Smith and Jones on the Encore Westerns Channel. The episode also featured Roger Davis as Hannibal Heys. Two for the price of one.!!!

Alexandra Moltke is my favorite actress on the show and when I seen her last episode adn then they brought on Betsy Durkin it just wasn't the same. She laked Alexandra's innocence and certainly was not able to carry the character after Alexandra. It was unfortunate that she was not allowed to come back in the role that she would have liked to of played or for Vicki to get out of the duldrums sort of speak. But even after 1795 I still love Alexandra and Vicki both.
