Gothic mystery--spooky old house, young governess, strange family.
Interesting and original characters like Willie, Julia, Vicky, David, Quentin.

They never resolved the mystery of Vicky's origins.
Her character became less important as the series began to emphasize the supernatural .

The first milestone was when Josette's ghost stepped out the portrait. That's when the show took a turn for the supernatural.

I would have had Dark Shadows end by solving the mystery of Vicky's parentage.

1. The introduction of Quentin. David and Amy go exploring in the west wing and find the old telephone and talk to Quentin.
2. If she had stayed maybe the writers would have done a search for identity story parallelling Vicky's since
3. I don't know about her parents.
4. No. Just Denise staying probably would not have saved the show.

Loved her as Elizabeth Stoddard. She was so good in that first ep in that elegant evening gown.

Roger Collins (present) is my favorite Louis Edmonds character. Roger was such a cad. I loved to hate his arrogance and snobbiness.
