I'd have to nominate Barnabas as the "Crappy-Dad" of the year to Adam!

Even though Lang "invented" him, Barnabas' life force is in Adam....does this make him the "biological" father??"

Ouch, I'm thinking too hard.... [roll3]

As for best Dad, I *think* 1970 PT Quentin was okay to David/Daniel, or whatever his name was, especially since he was a widower at the time (before he married Maggie). Seems like there was a lot of love between the two, IIRC.

Yeppers it is strange. I wonder why they didn't send them out sooner since the site says it should take only 2-3 days for it to send out at the most. Hmm I wonder what is going on up there.

My guess would be that they could be a little overwhelmed with all of the new/recent DS DVD orders, and they might be running a little behind in their shipping dept.

Going with the 1968/1795 storyline...

Tim Curry as the Rev. Trask

?!?

....or Nicholas Cage as Trask??  ?!?

I like the British actor Ben Chaplin as a young Barnabas, esp. if the storyline was set in 1795 (anyone see him in "Washington Square?)....he has those dark, smouldering eyes that seems to pierce right through you <YUM!>  ;)

While Stokes is prattling on about the cheese, Tony grabs his throat and begins to convulse. "Professor!" cries Tony, before falling to the floor, unconscious.

I don't know why I found this so funny, but the way Stokes was bantering on and on about his cheese as Tony gags and passes out on the floor....Stokes cracked me up!  ;D  It almost reminded me of a Monty Python skit!

I would like to know if anyone else out there has done some strange things over the years because of watching the show.  Lets see, I have sat and recorded shows so that I could act the scenes with my children.  I even waited four weeks to grow Quentins sideburns.  I also sewed a ruffled edge on an old shirts sleeves for the costume.  We have had seances on stormy nights, parties with DS themes.  I keep a decanter of brandy even though I never drink it...well you get the idea.  My question is DOES ANYBODY ELSE DO THINGS LIKE THIS OR DO I NEED HELP OF SOME KIND?/

Hmmmmm........
Went on a recent eBay binge to find old brass sconces to hang on my red brick fireplace....and even found neon green and blue candles to put in them, so it looks like Angelique's servant quarters/room in The Old House. Even found a replica 1790's oak rocking chair for the same room. (anyone have a brass bed warmer they don't want anymore??  ?!?)

Never would I find myself (until a year ago) flying across the country, where I've never been, meeting two people I've never met (but who are now two of my best friends), only to drive through 3 states to see Jonathan Frid. All this just weeks after 9-11.

Now we 3 are getting together again for the Fest!  ;D

My brandy decanter, however, is empty  ;) waiting to be refilled. BTW, it is made from "Collins Crystal."   ;D

GREAT. I was wondering where i was going to commandeer a blender from.  :P I've already purchased the orange smoothiesso we seem to be all set. :)
Minja has reserved Vickie as her playing piece, and I am always Nicholas, so that still leaves Carolyn, Angelique, Julia, Quentin, Barnabas, and Prof. Stokes for the two Karen's and Susan to choose from. Anyone else here who is planning on being at the fest and wants to join us, feel free to post and reserve a playing piece after Karen_#2 and the other two girls choose from the remaining pieces.  ;

Hard to believe the festival is only a month away!! :)

                                      Bob

Cool. I'll go ahead and be Angelique. I have a feeling Karen #1 will be Carolyn, and Susan will be Julia. I emailed them, should have an anser by tomorrow for sure.

Yeah, one month from tonight is the big Sunday night shin-dig! That is, if we survive this game Saturday night (LOL!)

WV huh?  I bet I can guess who your a fan of! ;)

actually, Susan is the one from WV. She's flying to AZ, and making the trek across the desert with me. (although, yeah, I'm a sucker for those tall, lean, long legs and blue eyes from Morgantown, woo hoo! ;)   )  and  Karen #1 is flying down from Oregon and meeting us there at the hotel. We'll be by the pool by Thursday afternoon, with the little umbrella drinks, if I have my say so! :D

This fest is looking more and fun as it gets closer!
And it appears I'll need to stock up heavily on the hangover remedy! ;) YeeHah!

Oh, and I have just the stuff for that! [wow] I'll bring an ample supply of the "Thailand" version of "Red Bull". It's non carbonated, comes in little brown bottles, and is MUCH more effective than the regular "Red Bull".

BTW  K#2, Bob is the Orange Smoothie man! Just beware the 151...eeeek!  I just provide the humorous commentary! ;)![/size][/color]

Oh boy, party hats UP!! [jester]....I can see this is going to be a looooong game of "Clue!" [rollr]

It's great how he flows from the schoolyard bully to toady without missing a beat. If only he had been hired from the beginning..... :'(

JK's Willie is such a hoot! And what a BRAT he is to Adam! LOL! He could pass as a Leviathan kid..... ;)

I did make a travel versionof the game so that the original board and cards would not get worn out from over use. I will probably find room for it ( and my swizzle sticks Minja  ;)) in my suitcase prior to leaving for the fest in L.A. , so maybe a late night game that Saturday is indeed in order.  ;D  Bob

Right on!
Hey, I'll be rooming with Karen #1 and Susan from WV, so I'll volunteer our room as the "game room". Ice chest and blender [beer] will be present! Minja?? Don't forget to bring the orange smoothie mix!   ;)

Great game Bob!

I can definitely see playing that game during that fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning at the Fest, drinks and swizzle sticks and all!  ;D

Julia if you have access to Cox Cable, then it is on @10:00am. If you are on Satallite, then it is 7:00am. At least during the summer months. When the time gets goofy is when everyone else changes their time in the Fall but us....then it's 11:00am/8:00am.

Good luck!

I thought when Josette first stepped out of the portrait at The Old House, and danced around the front porch was pretty creepy! Especially when seen in black and white, it was spooky! [ghost]

Hallie Stokes would be a close 11th, and Sabrina Stuart is chasing after her with a short stick.

Nancy

Oh good grief, Sabrina Stuart and her pathetic "Moon Poppy," remember that?  Seemed to me that she had been "sampling" some of that poppy before she finally gave it to Chris to see if it would "help" him. [roll3] Gotta go with you on that one.
