i thought most dvds released these days gave u both blu ray and regular dvd versions and even a digital download copy of the movie? im just going by the ads i see on tv.

just came back from seeing chernobyl diaries at the same complex where i saw mib3 last night. this was a late afternoon showing on a holiday. once again i checked the same theatre that was showing dark shadows last night. it was about 70% full! the theatre showing chernobyl was only about 25% full. i thought chernobyl was pretty good despite the negative reviews.

the imax sequences from MISSION IMPOSSIBLE were also impressive. i went to see MIB3 tonight. TIM BURTON has a cameo but u really got to look close (he is shown on a tv screen)to see it. i also peeked into a theatre showing DARK SHADOWS and it was about 95% full!

they realeased some of it on vhs way back in the late 80s/early 90s but they stopped and i think the company went out of business and yes robert costello left ds to produce sp. if u cant find them all on youtube there are bootlegs floating around.

saw it in IMAX friday. it was spectacular especially the opening 18th century sequence. to me it was worth the extra expense.

Yes she was afraid of having her escape and real name found out by liz and fired. i just had a tought. if her interview was pre arranged like in the tv show, how do u explain her making up her new name on the train? perhaps it was not a pre arrainged interview and she was just showing up to aply but i think willie says something like we been expecting u when he opens the door. sorry if these are spoilers but i dont know how to hide the text in spoiler format.

i got to go to the premiere at the chinese theatre and saw the movie! unfortunately that meant i had to give up the chance to photograph or videotape any of the red(black)carpet since they would not permit anyone in with cameras and we all had to stay in line around the corner and couldnt see anything anyway. i will not spoil the film for anyone or at least try my best not to. i enjoyed it. it was not a full on comedy but there were a few silly and over the top scenes. there are several changes to the story we all know. depp is great as barnabas and pays homage to frid in several scenes. visually it is stunning and some fantastic special effects at the end. several surprises at the endas well. the only robert cobert music was the track called "the secret room"and i never heard the original theme used but the music reminds u of coberts in many places. the cameos are too quick. frid is on just a couple of seconds. selby/scott/parker just a few seconds more. none have any dialogue. the film is only dedicated to dan curtis.

i saw the dark shadows movie at the chinese theatre world premiere and they only dedicate the film to dan curtis and frid's cameo is about 1-2 seconds!
