Current Talk '02 I / David and Barnabas
« on: May 27, 2002, 08:54:48 PM »
?!?

I have a question that I'm sure someone out there can shed some light on or give their opinions.

Before 1795 David was terrified of Barnabas.  They were having the seance to see what they could find out to help David  - then 1795.

Well when Vicki returns to the present David's fear of Barnabas seems to be gone.  Any idea how he overcame being frightened of his cousin the Vampire??

I think one of the scariest storylines and characters was when

Count Petofi posessed David (or whatever his name was in that time)  Now that was real creepy!

Geez, I love the show so much I forgot how many annoying characters there actually were.

I will try and go in storyline order.

1. 1st. Willie - he was just awful (creepy)
2. 2nd. Burke - Bad casting in my opinion.
3. Sabrina - She was just annoying and didn't Roger Davis play her annoying brother.
4. Aristede - Annoyed me, but I did think he added to the storylines.
5. The through the years little Hawkes and the early Jeb Hawkes played by Chris Pennock.
6. Roxanne - The 2nd. one really annoyed me.

Those are my top picks, while there are a few others that weren't my favorites they didn't annoy me as much.

8)I always thought both Katherine Leigh Scott's and Alenandra Molke's hair was pretty.  I like KLS hair color.  It was a nice shade of red.  My hair is brown and not too thin or too thick but it never looks as beautiful as theirs did!

Barnabas did look very dapper in that robe.  And I was impressed with how gracefully he was able to hop up on that operating table. *Although, he did look a little worried.

I do think Barnabas has been looking good since he was temporarily cured of his affliction.  Not sure what it is, clothes, hair or a combination of things.

8)I only remember about half of those infamous dreams!  I was trying to think of one that wasn't posted, and the only one I could come up with was in 1897 when Charity is dreaming about Quentin and I think she is dancing around and Quentin is sitting down and then the werewolf appears.  Was that a dream/nightmare?

*Great posts, it reminds me of the stories that lay ahead.

I just have to say how excited I am to be seeing this storyline in it's entirety!  This is about where I started watching DS the last go around.  I had no idea the storyline progressed so quickly.  First, Barnabas is temporarily cured. (By the way I like Dr. Lang, he's crazy but I think he's a riot)  Then the Frankenstein stuff with the Dream Curse already in motion.  So much going on.  Next, we will be seeing Nicholas Blair!  *I also didn't realize that Angelique knew Professor Stokes first!  I thought that an interesting bit of information.

*BTW - I love the Coming Attraction!  Was that MB's creation?  I think she should continue that one.

8)Loved the werewolf and Ghost of Quentin storyline.  There was just so much going on and so exciting.  I also adored both charachters (Quentin and Chris Jennings)  I  thought this storyline was very creepy.  Quentin was just plain eerie as a Ghost and then to have a ghost, witch, vampire and werewolf all in one storyline plus Nicholas Blair what more could one want!!

I love Quentin, but Nicholas Blair runs a very close second.  I am always thrilled to see him reappear!

Your right I think, it is 5 times.

How could I have left off Caroyln prior to the 1840 timeline, she was being possessed by Leticia and I guess you could say her Charity Trask character was crazy!

I'm pretty sure I heard this on todays ep.  Naomi is talking about Daniel but calls him David instead.  I'm surprised they didn't make more mistakes like that with all the time travel.

A couple of thoughts:

I loved the scene the other day when Barnabas tells Joshua he is a Vampire.

I just realized that Nancy Barret plays an insane character in at least 3 storylines.

Where did the picture of Angelique come from that was hanging in the old house?  I thought Barnabas did not move Josette's potrait until 1967.

This is my first time watching the whole 1795 storyline.  I can't wait to see how it ends.  Then one of my favorite storylines starts.  1968.  The resurrection of Angelique as Cassandra.  The introduction of Nicholas Blair, then the werewolf storyline and Chris Jennings and then finally Quentin!  I'm also curious to see how Julia and Barnabas become friends.  Because when we last left them they were still enemies!

Current Talk '02 I / Trask

?!?

Just curious if I missed something or forgot something, but I thought the only people that knew Barnabas was dead were Josette, Ben, Natalie, Joshua, Naomi, Angelique and some servants.  Actually the list seems quite long, anyway, did Trask know Barnabas was dead?

Ben testified that he left for England but when Trask comes face to face with him he says "Your Dead".

If he knew does anyone remember how he knows???

SPOILER - if you haven't watched today's episode.  Although, most of us know it's coming!

BTW - I loved the scene today where Barnabas walled up Trask!

Thanks,
