CNN has been doing a series on The Movies.  2 hours each - they started with the 80s, went on to the 90s, then 2000s (to present).  Then this week they came back to the 70s, next week 60s, and final week, before that.  So, during the 70s they had "Rocky" and the first bit they showed was with Thayer.  They repeat these a lot in case someone still wants to catch it.

I loved Hugo!!  I was kind of lukewarm, wait-and-see through a lot of it, kind of waiting to see just what it was all about, but by the middle and certainly towards the end, I loved it!!!!

I didn't know about these ahead of time, so I didn't bother posting.  Mitchell Ryan and Kathleen Cody both turned up in Cannon - major parts for both.  And, that was followed immediately by 77 Sunset Strip with Anthony George!!  It was rather funny that it should be Anthony right after Mitch back-to-back.

Ahhh, that's so sweet!

Any idea what the handwritten paper behind Carolyn is supposed to be?  I made the picture a bit larger and used a magnifying glass.  I could read most of it, but it makes absolutely no sense to me!!

So sorry - all the best to her family.

Actually, I watch very few things "live."  I record them, but try to watch them the same night.  But, it's true, with all of the recording and On Demand choices these days, I'm sure most people have no problem in catching up with something like this.

I still can't believe they put a new episode on.  Maybe since they know it's the last season they don't really care.

In the past, a couple of times I mentioned when our newspaper highlighted Elementary for Thursday.  I assumed that was a good thing, that it was a particularly good episode or something.  Since I was surprised they had a new episode this week, presumably it wouldn't have much competition.  But, the only show they highlighted for Thursday is at noon on ESPN2 "2019 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest"!!!!!

I was quite surprised to see a preview for next week - I thought for sure they'd skip July 4.

But I do recall that Nancy went back to school to study medicine. She had married Harold Kaplan, a prominent NYC psychiatrist and wanted to work in the field herself. I know that she would be within a few credits of graduating and would change her mind and go back to acting. I think that she did that a couple of times. No idea if she ever got her degree.

That's very interesting; I had never heard of any of that before.  I just tried looking her up on Wikipedia and imdb to see if I could find out anything about it, but there's no mention of it at all.

Very nice!!  It's not just procedurals; I'd say just about any series, with medical dramas being high amongst them.  I could never figure out why there always had to be a sexual subtext in every show.
