I would have thought Carolyn was at least 18, though.  I assumed she was already through with high school, which she could be but probably wouldn't be at 17.  And, I had assumed she knew Joe through school and figured he was at most a couple of years older than she was, but then, I guess she did kind of go for "older men"!!

Although Im not sure I don't remember there ever being a mention of Carolyn's schooling years on DS.  And I can't imagine her going to the local high school if she did.  Since David doesn't attend school and has a full time Governess I just assumed that it was the same for Carolyn as well, but who knows.

I kind of think in the early days when she was going with Joe that there were some comments that implied she had gone to a regular school, but I may have just inferred that.

But, there was a scene with her mother once, and she was commenting on what the other kids used to say, perhaps teasing because Liz wouldn't leave the house or something.  At any rate, it definitely implied that she went to school, which did surprise me.

But let's consider Nancy Barrett & TLATKLS; I believe they were both born in 1945, making them 22ish at the beginning of DS (1966).

The exact date of Carolyn's birthday changes in different storylines, but the year of her birth is most often (at least three times) referred to as 1949. When DS begins in 1966, Carolyn is 17 (Vicki is 20).

On the other hand, I don't think any DS storyline actually provides any way to pinpoint Maggie's age. However, for what it's worth, Art Wallace's character bio for Maggie in his Shadows on the Wall bible says that she's supposed to be 23 in 1966. (And BTW, Joe is supposed to be 21, Burke - 32, Sam - 53, Liz - 56, Roger - 36.)

Wow!  I knew there was supposed to be a gap between Liz and Roger, but I had no idea they were supposed to be that far apart.  And, it could help explain her marrying Paul - she was "getting up there" in terms of marrying age and having children at that point.  I had no idea!!

As to knowing who the killer is, I referred to this a couple of weeks ago.  There are a couple of scenes involving this person in which he/she says some things that are quite interesting in view of the fact that this is the killer speaking.  They are minor enough scenes that I imagine most will have forgotten them by the time the truth is revealed.  It makes it particularly interesting, though, to see them now and realize this (although I wonder if the writers had decided who it was at that point!).

In walks Quentin:
MAGGIE, WHO WERE YOU TALKING TO?"

That one really got me, too.  I know that Quentin has been flying off the handle over just about everything these days, but out of nowhere, to come in and find his wife on the phone, he doesn't just ask out of curiosity who she was talking to, but furiously demands it!!  Really!!!

Where do all the guests come from?  When it was first closed to guests, you had some sort of explanation about someone who hadn't logged in yet, or had logged off but was still being counted, or something like that.

But lately, there regularly can be 3 or so guests, which has had me quite puzzled.

Supposedly Aunt Hannah and certainly Hoffman were close "confederates" of hers, yet she now bullies and threatens them to get them to do what she wants.

She was very close to her stepfather and (without getting into spoilers), she alluded to him that his plan had worked, implying that he had something to do with her resurrection.  Yet, once resurrected, she didn't place the call that she did today and reveal herself to him.  It's only now that she needs help with Barnabas that she summons him.

Not really! :)  I would assume that a commercially produced product is tamper-proof, or at least done so that even the most expert person presumably couldn't "mess it up."

Luciaphil has a wonderful vignette with Elizabeth and Barnabas and a little twist on our PT experience.  Especially if you're familiar with the pre-Barnabas story of Jason McGuire and perhaps a bit from before that, it's a riot.

She's posted it on the SciFi Creative Board:
