At this point in the storyline Roger (never the best father) is married to Cassandra. David feels threatened by Cassandra (as he should be). So does Barnabas--he knows Cassandra is really Angelique. ![[vryevl]](http://www.dsboards.com/SMF/Smileys/classic/vryevl.gif "Very Evil")
David and Barnabas have this in common--their suspicion of Cassandra/Angelique. Perhaps David senses that he can more readily trust Barnabas than Roger. Also as others have mentioned the writers changed the direction of the storyline. :-/

Louis I just loved your post. I agree with you about the state of TV today. I have no interest in those shows (like Law and Order) where all the actors wear gray and speak in a monotone.

That green suit that she used to wear alot is the most unflattering thing in her wardrobe--it seemed like it was the only outfit she ever got to wear for a long time. Her wardrobe is much nicer now.

Laura being consumed by flames. I remember viewing this when it first aired in 1967--it was quite scary and so unlike anything on daytime TV then.
