The "Go" button down at "Jump To" is completely dead.  "Back" or clicking the forum title at the top work just fine, but nothing happens with "Go."

Well, that seems to make sense.  Physical therapy certainly sounds better than surgery!  It's a shame it's not INSTEAD of the surgery, but presumably things will go better!!  (I was lucky a few years ago to get the "instead of" - I thought I was going to have to have back surgery, but the neurosurgeon not only said I didn't need it, but that it wouldn't help - and sent me for PT).  Good luck with all of it!  :)

I was wondering if this was the one you had mentioned recently.  Later, when she had the jacket on, I saw it was a suit, so presumably she just didn't have the jacket on for those few scenes - but it WAS about the sharpest she ever looked on the show.

Episodes wrong - I guess because of the repeat at the beginning of the week.  The first couple of days are listed correctly and Friday is correct (a repeat of the second one listed here and then the one that followed).  However, the second episode that belongs here is missing.

My goodness, I read that it was mostly pre-empted in October, but had no idea of the specifics.  After skipping it for a week and a half and then almost another full week, why bother putting it on that one Monday!!  Everyone would have to remember that that's the one day it's on.  At that point they might as well have just kept it off for that whole period and then come back when they're ready to come back!!

It's interesting that while she seems to trust Sebastian, when he tells her NOT to go to the room (and all her trusted friends echo that), she does - but that's what finally convinces her and she is FINALLY ready to remove the children - but it's too late!!

Isn't that from "The Pretender"?

I wouldn't have known on my own, but now that you mention it, I think you're right! :)

(Works fine in Netscape, Mozilla, Opera, Konqueror and Galeon, though.)

I might also suggest that you dump IE and choose to use a different browser - but that's entirely up to you. [wink2]

Never heard of Konqueror or Galeon!!

Is it working with the newer versions of Netscape now?  I thought we had to use IE.  It's practically the only thing I use it for.  Right now I have Netscape 7 and I intend to get 7.1 in a week or so.

Well, Midnite, how wild that you'd pick that screen cap to post. I wonder if anyone other than the two of us even know what it's from? [b003]

I was about to ask - who is it?!!

With everyone aghast at the thought of Carolyn ending up with Ned Stuart, am I alone in my horror  here?  Quentin with Maggie?  [82b5]

I always thought Q and M would make a good pair.  It seemed a shame that Angelique had to make it happen by a spell; I figured it could have developed naturally!

Current Talk '03 II / Elizabeth and Her Horoscope
« on: September 01, 2003, 04:31:38 AM »
I responded to a comment on the SciFi Board and since I get so irritated about this situation, I thought I'd post my reply here, too.

I can understand a normal person not believing in ghosts and time travel.  But, these people all saw Quentin and rushed off to the Old House to avoid him until the situation was "corrected."  They all saw the Parallel Time room and their look-alike counterparts and that Barnabas and Julia disappeared there, and so were definitely in PT.  Presumably they all believed this.

Now, Barnabas and Julia, whom they all know and apparently trust, come back.  True, the story of ending up in 1995 and coming back from then sounds quite strange.  But, since they believe the first part, and since they trust the people telling this, one would think they would believe it, or at least consider it highly likely and take steps to help them prevent the disaster.

Instead, "sensible" Elizabeth, suddenly decides to believe in horoscopes, commissions one from someone she never met, and believes that over her trusted friends.  They can't even try to get the children to safety "just in case" because it would upset her or she thinks it would upset them.  After all, her horoscope said nothing would happen!!!

It really infuriates me.
