I don't think so!!  When we saw the room, it was when the RT people were watching it (or the couple of instances when they got trapped in it, i.e. Quentin and Daphne; Trask).  The people were just living in there and having their conversations, so there was no need to refer to the room.

Once they actually moved the story to PT, they used the rest of the house and apparently abandoned that room!!

I had to laugh at Quentin with Gabriel, saying, "Keep calm, take it easy," while grabbing his face and screaming "TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!"

I missed it!  I even thought of it early this afternoon - that I would have to remember to put the tape on - then the next time I thought of it was a few minutes after 6!!!

As quentincollins said, it was always empty in RT.  In 1970 PT it was Angelique's room.  In 1841 PT it seemed to be a sitting room.  Different people would meet and talk there.  Stella, Flora Collins' secretary, seemed to work there.  Once they went to PT entirely, instead of just viewing the room from the RT people's perspective, they seemed to abandon that room and use the drawing room, as in all the other stories.

In 1970 there was a vampire (I don't want to give you too many spoilers, so I won't identify who it was) and they were looking for the coffin in the closed off East Wing.  Barnabas first discovered it.  He opened the doors to that room, and instead of being empty, it was beautifully furnished.  Then, people who looked just like those he knew (I think Elizabeth and Julia this time) came into the room and talked about things that made no sense to him.  He couldn't enter the room and he couldn't be seen or heard by the people there.  When the doors were closed and then reopened, it was empty again.  Various other people then saw the room.

In 1840(1) Daphne first discovered it.  When she was telling about it, Julia and Stokes overheard her and, of course, knew what it was.  Again, bit by bit, a number of different people discovered it.

How nice to hear from you again!!!  I started reading - it sounds interesting.  The beginning of the plot sounded familiar (might be a rather standard plot device), but the actors and little bits I read afterwards don't, so I was afraid to find the spoilers and decided to stop.  I'll have to look it up some day!!
