R is for Recombination and inheritance (of genes) from both parents, which can allow a child (PT Daniel) to have the dominant phenotype (i.e. brown eyes), even though his parents (PT Quentin and Angelique) have a largely recessive phenotype (blue eyes). (see the Jenny thread for more details)
