Great Tree!  Don't have the ablity to post our tree, but it is trimmed.  There seems to be a lot of Mickey Mouse ornaments on our tree.  The rest of the house is in progress.  It has been a tradition in our house to trim the tree and eat bugels and dip.

I think Rudoph is just about everyones favorite, and I think it is on Friday night.  Of course, I won't be home two parties to go to.

My favorite holiday movies are A Wonderful Life and the old Holiday Inn.    Muppets at the Fozzie Bear's mom's house is also a keeper.
I wish Dark Shadows had celebrated the holidays.  I always loved when Days of Our Lives gathered at the Horton House for Christmas and hung the ornaments.

Happy Birthday Mr. Frid,

Favorite scene, too hard for me.

His tender visit to a dying Sarah,

The scene with David in the Old House when David is talking about sun rise and the wistful look on his face.

too many more.

Jennifer, you would fit in just fine in the hubby's family.  If they don't have enough people for kitty whist groups hearts or spades are played.  Let me tell you it can get scary. My kids have become card sharks.  After a glass or two of wine somehow I lose count of the tricks. hehe.
Somehow in the madness between my husband and myself we managed to pick up 4 copies of Monster's Inc.   We have to return two of them.
I am almost done with the shopping!

Midnite, can you believe I have never seen Buffy.  When we get a DVD player I am going to borrow my friends 1st and 2nd years and get with the program

Rainey,
Not a fun a trip to the ER.  Glad to know he is fine.
We had a wonderful Thainksgiving.  My mother did a great job on the turkey and she was so pleased that she hosted.  My mother 75 and myself than brought a Thanksgiving dinner to the Doctor who delivered me 45 years ago.  He also delivered the rest of my siblings.  He is well over 90 and as sharp as a tack.
On to my husbands side for yet another kitty whist marathon.  I think this is the game the Collins played.
Yesterday shopping till I dropped but oh did I get a lot done. Hurrah!  Today we start to decorate but at a very slow speed.

Looks  like I won't be able to go to the fest next summer.  Labor Day weekend is just too hard.  We have to get two young adults off to college and two others ready for school.
There is a slim chance I could get to Newport on Monday but very slim.

Oh well, at least I got there in 200l.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!  It is snowing here and I have all my children at home.  Two came home from college the other two school was canceled.  Oh course, no one but me is up.  Two days cancel already this year this winter is not off to a good start.  They will be going to school until July.
Hope I don't have to go to the super market today.  The hubby needs to go to the package store.  My mother is cooking the bird tomorrow.  So it will be over the river and through the woods.
Think of me on Friday I will be out with the rest of the looney tunes shopping.  My good friend planned this adventure.  Wish us luck, heading west to Conn.
Yes, we are nuts, have been since we raced home from school to watch a certain show in the afternoon.

Birdie--Happy Turkey Day to all

Today is the first day with out our DS fix.  My family is trying very hard to be nice to me.  They are afraid of my mental state.hehe.  My husband told me he would be happy to get me one of my taped episodes.  I have to say I check the TV guide and the fancy TV quide in the remote just to make sure there was not some horrid mistake.

Dear Castlebee,
Please accept my deepest sympathy.  Words are just not enough at a time like this.
My mother is 75 and still smokes.  I worry about her all the time.  We came close to losing her last spring when she had pneumonia that was very hard to kick.  At the tifme we thought she might have cancer.  It still is something I worry about all the time.  Like your Mom she smoked through her pregnancies.  I often wonder what  this does to our generation that grew up with second hand smoke and our genetics.  At times she has tried to stop but always goes back.
Please treasure your special memories and remember their are people who are thinking of you.

I was the one who jokingly said Rachael would go for anything in pants.  Truly, I think she wanted to be loved but more than that she wanted someone to take her out of the situation she was in.  Her relationship with Barnabas never went far enough for her to have "fallen" in love with him.  That is once again the writers fault.  It was totally inappropriate of Barnabas to give her gifts or for her to accept them.

I don't hate Rachael, I just wish she had been written in a better manner.

It would not have been unusual for Barnabas's father to disinherit him for marring a servant.  In those days it was not highly thought of to marry below one's class in society.  That was the l700's.  My grandmother was disinherited for marring a Catholic.  That was over a century after Barnabas time.

His taste in women is also a sign of the era that he was raised.  Men in general wanted their wife to be weaker and subservient.  Not sure self esteem comes into play at that time.  If it does it was not recognized.

Always felt Barnabas would have turned to Angie if she had handled him differently.  That is another topic.

Sane and Trask does not go in the same sentence or breathe.  My thought is that Tim doesn't have a brain cell in that adorable head of his.  Trask wanting him to marry his daughter after he "supposeily" killed his brother in law should have sent lights flashing in his brain.

Current Talk '02 II / OT/ Collectibles?
« on: November 21, 2002, 06:58:15 PM »
Just picked up my local paper to see there is a big collectibles show in Framingham, Ma.  Is there usually much DS memorabilia at one of these things?  It sounded kind of fun.  Julie Newmar, Adam West, Peter Tork, are on the line up of guests.  I don't know if I can fit this into a busy weekend, but I am going to look into finding the time.  Anyone else see this from the area?  Any other forum members go to these things?
