I think Barnabas came to love Maggie, but not in a really romantic sort of way; it was probably more complex.  It came, IMO, from a mixture of guilt for what he tried to do to her, and admiration for her devotion to the Collins family once she moved in, especially regarding the way she tried to protect David and Amy from Quentin's horrific ghost.  And throw in her similarity with Josette.  His love for her was one based more on a developing and evolving affectionate friendship, even a protective paternalism, reflected in his commenting on how "fond" he always was of her.

I would agree with that except that during the Adam story,
[spoiler]he wanted Maggie to provide the life force for Adam's mate and was quite insistent on it.[/spoiler]

Can someone tell me how to use that spoiler feature?  I don't know how.

It's weird - nothing's working for me now - usually if one puts the cursor over one of the code letters (i.e. B for bold) the little balloon comes up saying that it's "bold" or whatever the item is.  None of them are doing that for me tonight.

Usually, one of those icons is for "spoiler" and you just use that and put the text in between - but I don't see that any more, either!

However, looking at someone's post who used it, it seems that if you just place the text between [spoiler]and[/spoiler] that should do it.

By the way, this is my first attempt at using "code" and I think I got it!!

I see on the board that you're 23 - impossible!  I remember you first joining us on the SciFi boards at, I think 15.  I know you graduated high school and went on to college, but that was just a couple of years ago - how could you possibly be 23?!!!!

Why doesn't a channel I get ever put it on?

Of course, in this case I would have been much too late, so it's just as well, but I sure wish something I get will pick it up someday!

Just thought I'd mention that occasionally I'll still have an item indicating "new" and it turns out to be something I read the previous day - it's usually just the one item and everything else really IS new and it's just every once in a while.

But today, there were 2 items indicated as "new" in Current Topics X and the first (oldest) of those was from July 31.

From one of the responses above, it seems this is something you have to work on someday, but thought I'd provide an update.
