I loved that show, Gothick!  My favorite episode was when they had to get that "broach that looks like a roach" out of Aunt Hattie's coffin before they buried her.  They do run it on TV-Land.

You know, that's right about the "customers" in Collinsport for the hoochy-koochy girls.  Who's the only one to show up?  Noah Gifford.  Big whoop.

Ain't she a hoot?  First Ruby, and then Maude.  She's one, groovy, swingin' chick.  I like her style!

But what is it with all the floozies and runabouts hanging around in a small town like Collinsport?  What were they doing there?  Having a convention?  I'd love to see what the workshops and seminars were like, not to mention the closing night banquet.

Naomi admitted to Daniel that she liked to play cards.  I actually pictured Barnabas as a child making model ships, perhaps Jeremiah, too.

Joshua would short-sheet Ben Stokes' bed.  Abigail secretly read "French" books.

quote from Robin:

>>I've always thought of whoopee and Collinwood as oxymorons.  I mean, really, I can't even imagine anyone doing the deed in that creepy, drafty old house!<<

It's kinda like how we look at our parents doing that...that...you know.

Current Talk '02 I / Re: Naomi Testifying
« on: April 11, 2002, 03:12:37 AM »
I don't recall her ever testifying, and looking through the program synopsis book, I saw no mention of it in any of the episodes (but I only did a quick scan).  I think Luciaphil is right - Miss Bennett did her number of shows and that was it - off she went to shop, dust, vacuum and get that pile of laundry done.  Even movie stars need clean clothes.

Did Naomi (Jean Simmons) testify in the '91 revival?  I remember her being at the trial.

I guess the Rev'd Trask was couching his terms carefully, Bob the B.  You know, kinda like "is-is".  What he meant was that he wasn't very good at it - not that he never did.  I imagine you could call it "did-did".

Millicent probably wasn't even sure what that was.  And in those good-ol'-days, a lady and a gentleman-caller just being alone was cause enough for scandal; holding hands was on par for tripping the light fantastic with the lights out today.  That's why she felt used and tossed aside like an old, laceed up shoe.

A butcher - the regular kind.  A mill and baker.  Tailor; silversmith; blacksmith and wagon thingy.  Union Hall for Doxies Local #534.  A bank (not the blood kind).  A post office.  Farmer's market (not only for veggies and eggs, but even the little fishies harvested from the sea).  Carpenter and furniture maker.  Undertaker.  General store to buy oil lamps, baskets, certain articles of clothing and other sundry things.  Mason.  Cable-TV service (it'll take 'em 200 years to getting around to your place anyway, and make sure you're there between eight and noon).

Didn't she play a lesbian in "The Children's Hour" on Broadway?  Not sure.

And since we're on DS and movies topics, I hope some of ya caught "Journey to the Center of the Earth" last night on AMC - Thayer David, playing a totally evil character.

The only male member of the cast I considered attractive (worthy of the hunk label) was Joel Crothers.  I actually did not find any of the other members anything to get excited about.  Call me fickle.
