When things don't add up or make sense on DS (which, as we all know, isn't a rare phenomenon, but that's one of the reasons why we love the show), I just settle it for myself in my mind.  The way I look at it, I take the origin of Angelique Bouchard the way Lara Parker chronicled it in her novel, and view Miranada Duval as a preincarnation of Angelique.  There, problem solved.

I also tape the episodes for later viewing.  Sometimes I get  backed up, so I might have to watch three days worth at one time.  That usually holds me.

Along with Lara Parker in her underwear, this is a real AMC bonanza today!  "The Hindenburg" also played with a 1991 DS revival alumnus, Roy Thinnes, who played Roger Collins and the Reverend Trask.

Anyone else catch "Save the Tiger" with Jack Lemmon on Friday on AMC?  Two DS alumni were prominently featured:  Lara Parker and Thayer David.  The film was made in 1973.

Please make up your own mind without consideration of my opinion.   Thanks, Brian.

Well, I guess the seller is right about the free market.  Ironically, he'll find out that the free market won't tolerate prices that high and he'll have no choice but to lower them - IMMENSELY.

What amazes me - by looking at the pics - is that everyone has a friend with a mom who looks exactly like her!  I could just picture myself, visiting her with a friend, just yacking away and drinking Yoo-Hoo's.

Yes, that poor soul obviously has emotional/psychological problems.  It's how we treat people like him that marks the level of our civility.

It appears that TLATKLS - from the report - did handle the situation with class and calm (and David Selby must have done the same).  I imagine that, being celebrities, they are rather use to such encounters (whether from such individuals, or just from overly-excited fans - my best friend has a tendency to fall to pieces when he sees persons of fame and it can get rather embarrassing; don't ask me about the incident with the soap stars in a Ventura Boulevard restaurant) and know how to deal with them in a positive manner.  Undoubtedly, it comes with the territory.

What a stitch!  I liked Angelique's "sister"!  I thought I was on the Love Boat!

I remember it.  What shocked me was, even though I was just a kid, for some reason it stuck in my mind that Sharon Tate played one of the secretaries on "The Beverly Hillbillies".  Her name appeared in the credits and I recalled that.  So when the news came out that she had been murdered (along with the others), the first thing I thought was:  "She use to be on 'The Beverly Hillbillies'."

You've got it right in our very backyard!  Click on Robservation and there you have it!  Also, the DS Almanac books have episode-by-episode synopses, but not in great detail, but it does allow you to follow the plotlines.  There is also a separate episode guide book which lists who played in each, as well as who directed and such.

Current Talk '02 I / Re: How to Avoid the Dream Curse
« on: June 24, 2002, 08:32:29 PM »
Another solution is to have the listener get totally sauced to the point where he or she will not remember what has been told to him/her, or will have a distorted memory.  In that case, he would have the dream in which, instead of opening all those doors and finding terrible things, he would be walking around in front of everyone in his underwear.  (Don'tchya just HATE those dreams?)

Anyway, why not have the recipient, when he has the dream, just do what Stokes did?  Don't cooperate.  Leave those doors closed and taunt Angelique.  It worked for Stokes; he even got a kick out of it.

Intellectually, I would hafta say that it's the 1897 storyline.  However, I have such fond memories of the haunting of Collinwood by Quentin in contemporary time (1968-69) when I first watched it, that for me it would hafta be a draw.  Some would say that it's all actually part of the same storyline, so I guess that lets me off the hook.

Alexandra Moltke was a member of royalty, and an actual inheritress of the Danish crown (quite a few times removed).  Her family was well known in Europe; a passenger ocean liner, the "S.S. Moltke" was named after them.

Like Ringo, ANY character performed by TLATKLS.  I even like her in her first (but short) incarnation as Maggie as performed by Eve Arden w/ blond wig.
