AIUI, had Julia been Julian, he would have been been killed by Barnabas as some point and then Barn himself would have been staked.  I have no idea though if the original plans for the Julian character were along the lines of trying to cure Barnabas or of a more Van Helsing nature.

Nice try - but we can't really start using each other to keep the game going.  ;)
Aw, shucks! ;) Well, ya can't em all.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Evans, but you and Mr. Haskell can't come in right now because Mr. Collins is naked in the drawing room doing his laundry.  He's been so busy, he has to wear swim trunks for underwear...."

Thanks to you I am now picturing Michaelangelo's painting of God bringing life to Adam with Abigail in place of God....  ;D

Current Talk '07 I / Re: Adam & Carolyn doing the deed?

If I am remembering correctly, was this after he started being influenced by Nicholas, telling him to "take what he wanted"?

Even so, I doubt Adam would have forced Carolyn to do something she didn't want to do, and given how she feels about him (friendship and pity) and knowing he feels much more strongly for her, I doubt Carolyn would have done the deed as that would have made things infinitely more complicated.

Ben has a Dreamgirls moment .... Ben (to Barnabas): (singing)  ...And I am telling you / I'm not going. / You're the best man I'll ever know. / There's no way I can ever, ever go! ....

"Barnabas was horrified and repulsed when he looked up at the ceiling in Josette's room and saw that Willie had installed mirrors above the bed."

To attempt to answer my own question, after puzzling over it, perhaps the decision was taken to redo the painting because it is far easier to see the resemblance between Josette and Vicki than in the full body version.

Perhaps in the pilot filming the idea was that both portraits of Barn and Josette were full body to make some kind of connection between them in the viewers mind, but when the series was remounted it was decided to repaint Josette's for the reason above?

Or, perhaps someone DID get set on fire and THAT'S how the crew got so experienced with those on-the-set fires that were created so often.

Of course, now we have an explanation for all those times when we see "fog" drifting into the drawing room of Collinwood or the Old House, when it's supposed to be in the woods or the cemetery: Grayson and others were off camera huffin' it to get all that smoke in there.
;D That is the FIRST thing I thought of when I saw the title of this thread!!  The first time I saw that, I was wondering "Are they going to say the house is on fire in a minute.  Then it dawned on me!

Oh, and in one of what must the the silliest of continuity errors ever, In the episode where Barnabas shows VIckie Josette's room for the first time, we see the portrait of Josette, full body, but all subsequent episodes, shots of the SAME PAINTING are of a waist up or head and shoulders portrait!!!! What gives??
