Believe it or not, it happened again!!  The clipboard seemed to be pressing the spacebar; I don't think it hit any other keys, certainly not a combination like that.  I couldn't remember what keys to press!!!!  Again, the mouse was real weird, but I finally managed to navigate to this thread and look up the solution!  This time I saved the info in case I need it again!

I keep wishing we had something like the Facebook "like" feature.  There are a lot of times when there's not really anything to say, but it would be nice to show a reaction!

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!  How nice that you found the link.  But, I tried it, and one has to have an account, and they offered a bargain subscription.  I hope others will be able to see it.

Actually, it just ended, but thank you!!!! [santa_smiley]

Since the pandemic, our library doesn’t get newspapers on the current day, and the New York Times is often 2 or more weeks behind.  There’s also ProQuest online, which one can access through a library account, and it has all of the New York Times, but about a month behind.  Sunday, November 5, 2023 didn’t come to the library (or disappeared) and I had to read that one through ProQuest.

As I was going through, I was moving to the next page when I thought, wait! That looked like Jonathan Frid!  What could that be?

I went back and it was nothing like him.  It turned out to be Joel Kinnaman as astronaut Ed Baldwin in something called “For All Mankind.”  There are 3 pictures of him from different seasons.

If you’re able to look it up, it’s the November 5, 2023 New York Times, Arts Section, Page 15.  If you cover the bottom of the first picture so that only the top of the nose and up shows, the hair and eyes, at a quick glance, really looked like Frid as I went by.  As I said, once I saw the whole picture, it’s nothing like him!  I’ve had this on my screen at times, though, and every time, for a moment, I think it’s Frid!!!

I did some research on Google and apparently hitting the Ctrl + Alt + Left Arrow keys rotates the screen 90 degrees left. How the clipboard managed to hit those exact keys is probably a one in a million accident,

That's what I couldn't figure out - I could see that it hit some keys, but a combination like that with the keys separated seems impossible.  I remember in the past there was something about using the mouse in the corner and rotating it and I was never good at that, although I finally succeeded a couple of times.  But this time there didn't seem anything at the corner to work with and I don't think I could have controlled the mouse to do anything anyway.  I expected them to try to talk me through it over the phone and probably having to take it to him.  So, when it turned out to be a simple key combination I was amazed!!!!!!!!!

This happened while I was on this Forum yesterday and I considered posting here to see if I could get a solution, so felt I had to share what happened.  I was holding a clipboard with some papers on top of it while reading, and evidently the board hit some key on the keyboard and suddenly everything was sideways!!!  I couldn't find any way of changing it.  And, it also affected the mouse, which was very weird and hard to control.  I managed to do some things I had to do sideways, but manipulating the mouse made it almost impossible.

When I called my computer technician, his assistant got on the phone, told me to press Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow - and everything was fixed, the display and the mouse!!!!  I still don't get the connection with the mouse and he didn't really explain why it would be connected to this, but all was well - PHEW!!!

I just looked up to see which ones these were.  I definitely remember this one and the 2nd.  I remember the 3rd too, but didn't recall her being the wife in it.

Since 1970 Parallel Time was based on Rebecca, I thought that was enough of a connection to mention this!

Last night and tonight was a 2-part Cannon, which I’ve seen many times now, but last night discovered a detail I had never noticed.  Joan Fontaine plays a famous actress.  At one point one of her old films is playing in the background and Cannon enters and they talk (or scream) over it.  One doesn’t see or hear much of it, but last night, just before Cannon started to talk, I heard the actress on the screen saying something about “you knew she wore that dress and let me wear it” or something like that.  I thought, Oh!  That sounds like Rebecca.  I didn't remember, but looked it up and Joan WAS the star of Rebecca.  So, here they were playing one of her real films as the fictional actress’ film!!
