Current Talk '02 II / Re: "Human" Barnabas

Do you think Barn is missing some of the vampire perks now that he is human?

Like turning into a bat?
Being able to fly?
Being able to stay awake all night?
Those cool fangs?

What do you think?

When he's human he is privileged to sleep in a nice comfy bed. I don't think a coffin is conducive to a good night's rest.

Current Talk '02 II / Re: ENTERTAIN EXERCISM
« on: March 06, 2007, 01:17:36 AM »
Professor Stokes was fearless and unwavering when he attempted to exercise Quentin's ghost, traits he displays throughout the entire show. He seemed to know a bit more of what he was doing. I'd definitely want him with me were I to encounter unfriendly ghosts.  8)

However, reverend Trask was so full of righteous indignation that watching him in 1795 trying to exercise the witch from the Old House is priceless. Too bad he wasn't successful in catching the true witch, that would have saved the Collins' family a great deal of grief.  :(

I'm most likely in the minority, but I liked Anthony George's portrayal of Burke. It was sad that he
met his demise.
I think he was one of the more discerning characters on the show. Also, I would have liked to see him and vicki marry, as they had originally intended.  :(

Welcome, Elizabeth47! You're going to have a lot of fun here.  :)

INHO, Marie Wallace gave Eve a very chilling nature. She was cold, and creepy, it's no wonder Adam turned out so unlikeable. You would to if you had to go out with Eve!  ;D

My vote goes to Barnabas as well!  8)

Although it annoyed me when Barnabas gave Jeff orders, as if Jeff had to take them!

Still, Barnabas would have won a fight with him, even without his trusty cane.

My least favorites are:

Amanda Harris/Olivia Cory
Daphne Harrige in any time period
Roxann in any time period
Jeff Clark
The doctor who comes to the Old House to examine barnabas after Angelique cursed him. (Apologies for not remembering his name).
All the Leviathan kids.

Carolyn knows Jason has a hold over her mother, but honestly, I don't think her mother killing her father ever entered her mind. How could she even think her mother was capable of something so gruesome! That's not usually one of the first things that comes to someone's mind. Perhaps Carolyn thought it had something to do with financial matters, and I guess in a way it is.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Magnus! Very well put!  :) 8)

Happy birthday, Thayer David! A man of many talents whose characters came to life. Thank you for making Dark Shadows such a joy to watch!  :) 8)

Current Talk '04 II / Re: Jeff Clark / Peter Bradford ... huh?!?

For nearly two centuries, people have been digging up graves in Collinsport at the drop of a hat, and yet nobody can understand why Peter Bradford's body isn't where it ought to be!

Lydia, too funny!  ;D

Dr. Woodard says there is some sort of unholy union taking place in Maggie's blood, so does that mean when someone is bitten by a vampire, it leaves traces of some sort of substance in the blood? What might that substance be?  ???

I can't help but feel sorry for Barnabas when Woodard mentioned him almost pitying the madman. Barnabas says "no, the truth is I loathe him, I loathe him very much." I don't doubt he meant every word. He didn't choose to be what he was but that doesn't change the fact he is what he is and he can't do anything about it and he knows it.

Yes, could this mean some minuscule portion of his sanity is returning?
