You know who Suki reminds me of?  Nellie Olson from "Little House on the Prairie".  Maybe that's why I liked her.  I thought Nellie was kinda cool, too.

Gerard

I lked Suki too Gerard! was Nellie the blond one with all the curls?

my parents weren't  freaked by the show and i went with my sister I missed Barnabas though!
I do remember going to see The Godfather in Montreal
with the travel club. They let anyone in and that freaked my mother out when I told her about it

I tend to follow Luciaphil's logic except I thought it was like the little man in our refrigerators who turn the light on and off every time the door opens and closes.

Robin you're 100% right the quick road to lunacy is trying to add consistent logic and theory to DS!

I wish that little man would change the light bulb in there had to do it today What a pain Allen

Why didn't Joshua even notice or think it odd that there were candles burning in the secret room where Barnabas was entombed.

Suki went to the old house which is supposedly unoccupied and there are candles alight on the wall.

Just wondered.

Tanis  ?!?

Being observant isn't a Collin's trait That is why Vicki

Well, we all comment on how dumb she has become - but today was beyond belief.  After all this time, it takes Peter asking her how she would react in 1968 if someone from the future came back, and comparing this to her situation, before she suddenly does a double take and "gets it" and says how "foolish" she has been!!!!  Wowie!!  It's actually dawning on her what the situation is?!!!!!

And then, he comments that she can't be expected to understand them.  But, that's wrong.  Aside from the fact that almost anyone going back would have some idea of what things were like back then, and try to fit in, in this case she's a teacher!  Presumably history is one of the subjects she teaches David.  She should have a pretty good idea of what it what.

All right, so her knowledge of history would cause her to be surprised to find belief in witches still existing at the end of the 18th century, but, having discovered that it does exist, her knowledge of history should also give her a clue about what it's like and suggest how she should react to it!!!!

spoilers

I totally agree Josette I can see a problem if you travel to the future but she should have some clue about life in 1795. Julia did quite well in 1897 even convincing them she was an MD which wasn't a small feat. Vicki
did lead a sheltered life but the word CLUELESS was made for her!!! she marries Jeff Clark doesn't she??

Umm .. how is it that Barnabas could strangle Suki, she was able to say his name and then expire?? If he strangled her to death. . she would be dead right?  If you can breath and utter a name .. shouldn't she have been able to live? That seemed kinda weak but my MD diploma is old. . .

I’m doing fine Birdie – thanks for asking.  I had a great report from my doctor on Friday and feel really good about it. Hope you and everyone else out there in DS-Land are doing well too!

I hadn't noticed that extra day Midnite [heh] - but your explanation makes perfect sense! LOL!

I'm so glad you are feeling better and got a good report

I was all set, my house almost clean, my cup of tea ready, and what happens...?  DS was on for about 3 minutes, Joshua, Natalie and Suki (thats a unusal name) are in the drawingroom and it just stopped.  There they are, suspended in mind air, and then the screen goes blank.  I thought, has the cable gone out?  But it was a beautiful day, and, besides, the other channels were on.

Now I know why DS refused to go on today...they were rebelling.  This is the day they were stopped, and Password (uck) had took its place.  The Sci-Fi channel was back on with Forever Knight at 11:10.  11:10 was the time I went back to Sci-Fi, it could have started a few minutes faster, but the main thing was, DS was not on for a hour.

Way to go Dark Shadow...Refuse to go on.

Did it ever come back on Terry? i didn't watch today because I was listening to sports radio and now will have to do what CastleBee has to do and search for my tape!

My fave is Chris Jennings' bedroom.  Especially when nobody else is around and Chris is just coming in from the shower wearing only a towel draped over his shoulder.  YEAH.

I'm not sure any of them  actually worked as a governess they were all too busy elsewhere but I pick Maggie Evans only because i wanted to be her(not Marcia Brady) when i was a teen and loved her groovy outfits the best I did like Vicki's hair though so it was a close one 8)
