bottom left of stats page....

Database error. Please come back. If it still appears, please report to a mod.

Actually MB, I've checked it both at home (Verizon DSL) and at work (Comcast Cable) and it's still like above.

(This after the 5/1 modifications.)

Yeah, BUT, the karma thing was 'rolled' back, right?

I mean I know I had higher cures/curses...not to mention Raineypark...a few months ago I had posted congrats to her achieving over 300 curses, but now, she's below 300 (again, this is a few months later).

The only thing(s) I think I noticed were that everyone's karma was back to what January?....and even if I cursed someone, it didn't appear to be counting.

Thanks MB, Midnite and dom.

Patti

PS...right after I posted this, I cursed :-* Josette :-* above, and it DID count.

Current Talk '04 I / Re:Why Was The Original DS Cancelled?
« on: April 30, 2004, 10:14:27 PM »
Misty...the general consesus has been the two DS movies.

They were pretty graphic (for circa 1970); explicite gore.

Have you seen the movies?

Alot of parents accompanied their children in the theatres to see the flicks; it was mentioned that the gore was too much.

So, first parents were writing letters, etc expressing their disapproval...but...if you've seen the movies, no doubt you notice the vast difference from DS as we know it to what our parents saw [vampire].

First, ABC moved DS to a different time, but, alas, mom wasn't letting us watch no more!!

Have a good weekend,

Patti

Current Talk '04 I / Re:Are Focus Groups An Enemy Of Art?
« on: April 30, 2004, 01:36:46 PM »
I liked alot of what Dr. Eric Lang said.

Here's a question, back when DS was orig. on, I wonder how so many of our mothers who watched felt about SYT Carolyn, Maggie & Victoria. Wasn't that a kiddie version?

It would be equally interesting if in said proposed focus group they split it down the middle; (5) 15yr olds, (5) 35 yr olds. If they really want a full spectrum, throw in (5) 50 yr olds!!

Except for my wonderful  :-* cousins on here, I don't know very many men who watch horror (at least not explicit in your face think NoDS/HoDS) yet alone read horror/mystery.

I have to shamefully admit, vampire-lover that I am, that I have never seen a single episode, or even a part of one, of Angel.  As for Buffy, I've only seen one episode from the entire series and it looked absolutely enjoyable, yet I never watched another episode again.  Why?  Eh, who knows.

Darling Gerard...I too haven't seen Angel.

And, it's only since Buffy's been off prime time and on FX reruns that I've been watching it. (Wish I knew why I didn't want to watch when on prime time??? I'm thoroughly enjoying it now.)

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Mailbox Question
« on: April 29, 2004, 12:39:11 AM »
Okay, while on here, if I want to e-mail (what's the difference between IM & e-mail on here?...It doesn't INSTANTLY get delivered to you, like a pop-up.

Anyway, if I'm on here and I want to em/IM say Jennifer, or Birdie, I click on there name either on a post or on the cousins list, and it opens my DS mailbox, and voila.

But, if I do the same to only Midnite or MB, it opens Outlook Express (which I use for my e-mail).

Just now...I tried something new. Instead of clicking on Midnite's name, I typed dom and Midnite. I didn't get an error message...so, I hope she gets it. Did you Midnite?

And, why the differential between all cousins AND DOM(a mod) vs. Midnite/MB??

Thanks,

Patti
