If I might offer a male perspective on this question, I would like to list the ten most masculine Dark Shadows characters:

1  Sandor Racosi
2  Buzz Hackett
3  Judge Crathorne
4  Ezra Braithwaite
5  Prof. T. Elliot Stokes
6  Horace Gladstone
7  King Johnny Romano
8  Mordecai Grimes
9  PT Bartender Liam Looney
10 Bartender Bob Rooney

Bob That's quite the list but you did forget The Count!
He would have told enough times he was the most masculine!!

jennifer
also have to add the werewolf(Alex Stevens ) to your list

1. Michael Stroka – [ltng] Uhhhh, let me think…no.

My only change to the above list would be to deep six Stroka and add Jerry Lacy.  Regardless of my dislike for Trask as a character Lacy was not bad at all  [nuts]

Haha Castlebee i'm with you on Bruno(you still have Bruno!!!) Not Groovy!!! :o :o :o :o

It's been a while! Been too busy to watch DS, so there goes another run of 1795 I haven't been able to see....

Finally got a chance to sit down and turn on the television today, so, here's a question. Forgive me if anyone else has already posted something like this.

If, by some odd chance, YOU were transported back to 1795, what would you tell people?

Myself most likely, I would play mute. Just DON'T TALK. Opening your mouth would almost immediately give yourself away because the style of speech then was very different from our "modern" tongue.

OR if you were accused of witchcraft, plead guilty! I don't think they've ever hanged a confessed witch, because you are taking measures to "save yourself". Take a lesson from Tituba.

OR if you are an idiot and claim you've come from the future, claim that in the future, you do this sort of thing all the time. That time travel is really actually very commonplace and EVERYONE owns a time machine.

Anyone else have any ideas?

~Arashi

i'm with you Arashi after the shock of being there I'd run to change my clothes because you would know that would totally freak people out to see legs! Also being mute is good idea telling peolple you are from the future
bad idea :o

9..David Selby(same reason as above)
8.Joel Crothers(love him as Nathan)
7.Randall Drew (forget his name but he was cute!)
6.John Karlen(loved him as Desmond sort of appealing)
5.Jonathan Frid(don't find him that appealing but did love Barnabas)

If you like Suki dying of strangulation but able to speak Barnabas' name, wait till a later (MUCH later) story development where someone has her head removed from her body and manages to gasp the words "headless body" (or is it bodiless head, lol).

Steve

hey Steve there was a story in one of those weird
newspapers that look like the Herald(all black and white)
or maybe it was the Herald (haha)about a bodiless head telling the police her killer !!very strange!
also remember that scene from DS !

The DS characters Tim Shaw, Chris Collins, Tom and Chris Jennings were portrayed by Don Briscoe. It was written in the DS Companion that he retired from acting and resides in Tennessee. There are plenty of pictures of him in DS Almanacs and on DS websites. I am sure MB has a nice one!

Oh Vam don't tease me like that!(there is a great shirtless one!)
Tom Jennings will always be # 1 with me :-*

Just thought of another one. Laura's locket. The one she was wearing around her neck,  that supposidly she was also wearing when she died in the Phoenix fire. ;)

Julia's ring: in 1840 it saved her life when Barnabas saw it on the finger of Laszlo.

Bette

You're right Bette any normal thief would have hide it but not our Laszlo!!! He was a hoot!

Minja,
You are right, Julia Duffy is married to Jerry Lacy. In fact I think she has attended some of the festivals in the past with Jerry.

As far as the Suki/Trask marriage that would be interesting. They are both very enterprising characters so I cant imagine who would wear the pants in that house.

I think Suki would say Nathan looked better in those
tight trousers than Trask ever did!!
