NB: "That's it Adam, you now have the Invisible Wildebeest of Revenge under your control!   Send it to destroy everyone but Carolyn.... NOW!"
Carolyn, off camera: "Hey, is something humping my leg?"

Even worse - DC might have cast RD!!  [scrm]

I'm a good demon, believe me! *shove*

I had that concern when I first watched Cruel Intentions. It was gone by three minutes in. It was like a completely different person; I didn't associate her with Buffy at all.

I apologize for the double post, but I didn't have time to modify. Other examples of evil or bitchy Sarah Michelle Gellar include Kendall Hart on All My Children and The First in Buffy Season 7.

If you don't think SMG can pull off the evil bitch role, you should watch Cruel Intentions. She can play heartless monster as well as she can a character like Buffy.

James Marsters has changed since the last season of Angel, believe me. He now looks his age quite thoroughly.

I'm not too keen on the idea of an original cast member playing Elizabeth, as Elizabeth was supposed to be around 50 when the series started, and all of the main female cast members are a bit too old to pull that off.

Let's also not overlook the fact that they couldn't have done the demons Buffy did, or the ones Charmed did before their budget cuts (somewhere around the middle of the series, most of the demons stop looking weird and start looking like regular people) without them looking extremely cheesy. Dan Curtis may have gone a little crazy with the SFX sometimes, but when something simply couldn't be done, he probably knew it. And, as had been previously mentioned, DS was heavily under fire from many fundamentalist groups. Some churches even published anti-DS pamphlets, making it the first soap to receive those. :P Vampires, witchcraft, and a brief descent into Hell pushed it enough; demons would have caused extreme public outcry. Plus, if it had been a male demon, they would have cast someone who would have turned into a real heartthrob and, in the next storyline, they would have drained him of a lot of his personality and made him one of the "good guys." The notion of a good demon is offensive or ridiculous to many people.

Julia: Juliet Landau
Vicki: Anne Hathaway
Angelique: Sarah Michelle Gellar or Halle Berry
Roger: James Marsters
Elizabeth: Gillian Anderson
Maggie: Emmy Rossum
Quentin: Josh Holloway

I believe that makes you part of the Ö generation.

A: Bahnahbahs, I've threatened to kill every living thing in Maine to hurry you up, and it's not working... as my father, what do you think about my personnel management techniques?  What am I doing wrong?
B: You could say, "please."

Will you be dressing up as Rev. Trask?

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. [ghost_tongue2]

None. It would have been just a fan-made free tribute. I can't very well make one to sell, as that would infringe upon just about every copyright law in the book.

I also agree that the part of the storyline involving Vicki and Peter was totally unnecessary, and, quite frankly, disrespectful to the fans. If you're going to
kill off our initial heroine, do it properly, with a story arc devoted to it; don't give us a line that says, "Oh, by the way, Vicki's dead."

Chris and Carolyn are cousins, yes, but distant ones.
It's one thing when shows introduce elements of an unlikable character's backstory that make him or her sympathetic. But the way they made Jeb a "sympathetic" character was ridiculous.
Oh, so now, all of a sudden, he's a good person, and we're supposed to be sorry for him? And then they tell us that, on top of everything else he did, he killed the series' first heroine, and they still expect us to feel sorry for him? What the heck were the writers thinking? It even continued into Beyond the Shadows, what with Carolyn turning Adam down because she had been truly in love with Jeb? This is writing that belongs on Nickelodeon, not Dark Shadows.

I actually think the way they gave Quentin amnesia was pretty good, especially considering the fact that now, both times we've seen Barnabas drive, he's run over someone! [ghost_cheesy]
And I agree with Taeylor that the Megan and Jeb thing was just pervy and disturbing. But Roger married his grandmother, so stuff like this on DS is hardly uncommon.

Afghan, what the hell are you doing? Stop trying to destroy The Pen this instant, or I'm calling Mrs. Johnson and her knitting needles on your ass!

Okay, the DS Aurora project is definitely not happening. I could probably do it, but I tried playing some of the games created on it, and found them to be very, very boring. If I ever do decide to create a free DS game on any engine, I'll be sure to let the users of the forum know.
