As it stands now I doubt very much that I will be able to attend the fest.  Labor Day weekend is way too hard for me.  If any of you are going to Newport on the bus there is a chance I could get there on Monday.

Jennifer, you and your sister will have a blast.  I went with my sister in 2001 and we had so much fun.  A few good laughs.  I think she would go with me again if I were going.

Darren,
Good Luck.  I would love to participate but my chances of getting much computer time the next couple of weeks seems slim.  My husband is working almost 24/7 ona project for work.  Mkes you wonder if it really is a good thing that he can log on to work at home.

Gerard, too funny only because it is true.  Tuesday morning I had  to leave early to go to a work related training.  We had an ice storm the night before and low and behold their is a two hour delay.  My son was up and knew not to touch the TV in the family room and trotted right down to the rec room.  I left leaving everything set up.

Got home watched the first episode than low and behold that wonder of wonders Spongebob-Squarepants appears.  Let's just say I was a good Mom and didn't flip out on the daughter for messing with my tape.

Other names for Spongebob in my house is Spongebob-sh**pants or that stinky cheese guy.

Maybe Judith left the grammaphone in the room on purpuse.  I can just imagine her thinking good I won't have to listen to that dam music any more.  I know my mother would have like to break or stomp on some of the music I listened to all day.  As nice as some music is the same music day in and night could drive you over the edge.

And why didn't Pansy or Barnabas give him any coffee, he needed a stimulant certainly not a glass of Brandy.  They also could have brought him outside for so fresh air.  Or lastly walked him to the beach and stuck him in some nice "cold" Maine water.

Dom,
I would love to "hear" your story about meeting Michael Stroka.  It is always fun to hear those stories from other fans especially good ones.

Don't even get me started..  The winter that will never end.  We didn't go to Maine this weekend because of the ice storm.  My friends and I ended up in Chicapee, Ma.  after a day of shopping.   This was our girls weekend away. Mind you this is only an hour away from my house.  Eating at Friendlies, they don't even serve a cocktail. boo.  We made up for it in the hotel.  AT least it was good company.  Hey, it has been a very long time since we had to sneak people into a hotel room so we didn't pay the extra few bucks.  It was an adventure.

Happy Birthday Prof. Stokes!  As a mom of two college students I am smart enough not to ask how you plan to celebrate.  Enjoy!  Make happy memories you will treasure them always.

Bob, how right you are.  Gegory Trask is IMHO the most evil or the evil on DS.  Petofi is evil, but he is in your face about it.  Trask hides and misuses the cloth he wears.  That is far worse.  If we thought about it I am sure we could find a few more commandments he has broken.

Thou shall not take the Lords name in vain.  Everytime he uses the Lord's name it is in vain.

Cassandra,
My kids now call me the snorter.  Our church is famous for doing all these way out "new" stuff during mass.  This year at Christmas we thought we would go to midnight mass hoping for some good Christmas carols and not too much extra stuff.  When this mid-aged woman danced down the asile with a candle and than pranced around the alter I totally lost control.  The whole church heard me snort trying to control the laughter.  We are worst behaved now than we were when the kids were young.  I don't go to mass very often.  My husband goes every week.  Somehow I am becoming my mother and that scares the crap out of me.
