Thank you doombuggy69 for that interesting information as it makes sense to me now.  It goes to show you that we can't always blame sci fi for everything. :)

Thank you Professor Stokes!  Its great to be here.  I guess I can tell who your favorite character on the show is!   I think the Professor is great too!  He really played all of his characters so uniquely.

This board has so many great things to choose from and recently I just noticed that there are many other columns of topics on this forum such as "current talk 1" ad so on.  So what Im asking about if it's okay to answer some of those other posts on the older lists,  such as current talk II, and so on?

Im not sure if this is allowed or not? I had answered a post from an older topic and I was suddenly thrown off the forums group and to get back on to the site again, so if I wasnt suppose to do this Im sorry!

Current Talk '02 I / Re:What is your Favorite Storyline?
« on: April 21, 2003, 02:17:54 AM »
This is a great topic!  My favorite is the 1897 storyline with Quentin, Count Petofi, Angelique, Laura the Phoenix and Barnabas!!  So many supernaturals in that storyline, which is one of the reasons why I love it!    There never seems to be room for a dull moment there either.  The whole werewolf story really intriged me to no end. I found it facinating!!

I just noticed that alot of the members here have a picture from Dark shadows under their names or screen names.  I was wondering how one goes about getting one of those avatars?  I had thought originally at first that this was just for certain posters but as I look on everyone seems to have one.   Would I be able to get one too?  And if so, where can I find one to choose from?

Thanks guys!!

Current Talk '03 I / Re:Two Josette's Music Boxes?
« on: April 21, 2003, 02:06:00 AM »
Miss Winthrop, I wonder why they jacked the price up so much for the music  box?  That's a big price jump from $40.00 to $150.00!!   You were lucky to have gotten yours before the price went up.

I would love to have one myself but I'll have to wait and see a bit.  Im like you though, I'd be a little leary about buying it from another internet company, especially since there's no sample for you to hear first.

Ok, I finally got it going now.  It took a few times and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong until I finally realized that the passwords are case sensitive.

Current Talk '03 I / Re:Dan Curtis' Alternative to Leviathan
« on: April 19, 2003, 10:00:31 PM »
I think Curtis must have been describing the mummy Kharis.  Boris Karloff's Imhotep from the original Mummy film was highly crafty, insidious, and powerful, and he did not limp about.  If the writers had been able to develop a mummy character along this line, I think it would have made quite a formidable adversary.  A mummy storyline might also have led to a 1920's flashback, the time when many excavations occured.  Too bad it didn't happen...

ProfStokes

I would have loved to see this!  This is how the mummy should have been portrayed.  Where is ever written that a mummy is suppose to drag it's leg anyway?  Seems to be something they thought up as time went on.

This is great news.  I had been waiting for the whole series to be released on DVD.  Can you please keep us posted as to when exactly it will be avalable?
Thanks,
