i must have good virus protection in my computer cause i never got a virus from either site but it is always a risk. the 1st episode was available as a free dvd rental from blockbuster before the 1st episode aired on hbo  but not sure if it still is available.

there are file sharing programs like minova that offer all the episodes for download. ive seen every episode so far and enjoying them. you can also view them on www.surfthechannel.com

viewing episodes online from network sites or youtube or hulu do not take up space on your hardrive after viewing. that only occurs when you download the program and save it on your computer. network sites dont even offer a way to do that but there are ways of doing that from youtube if you do a google search for "youtube converter".

yes i believe this took place in the late 80s early 90s and then sci-fi began broadcasting every episode and fans probably stopped caring about the pbs/ds fiasco.

for some pbs stations, the decision for taking ds off was due to a management change. the new management declared ds unsuitable for pbs and removed it regardless of how much $ was pledged!

this will probably be deemed as ancient history or water under the bridge but i think kls and ds doing pledge pleas for pbs is a slap in the face to dark shadows fans. i remember several pbs stations in the 80s showing dark shadows and telling fans that the only way they were going to keep the show on is if the fans send in their money. many of us did and all the pbs stations took it off anyway! so plead all u want pbs,kls and ds, i wont send u any $.

i just uploaded 2 hilarious must see videos on youtube! in 1994 i was working evenings and had to miss most of the friday night events. i sent a friend who barely remembered DARK SHADOWS and not a big fan of the show to go and videotape the friday night events. the result is a humorous look at the fans and the stars. he makes a couple of fart jokes and mixes up Kathryn Leigh Scott's name and calls her Kathryn Parker! He goes around asking everybody if they know me and even tells people i was on the show and says that i am surfing on the waves during the opening credits!

theres an article in the san francisco examiner about this new show on hbo. the article compares it to dark shadows and mentions frid and barnabas.

thanks for the info. looking forward to seeing the print of hods. i wasnt impressed with the print shown at the vista theatre. it had good sound but a scratchy print.

i gave details about volume #1 in a previous post. volume# 2 contains the cast reunion, the skit "Another Day At Collinwood" with guest star Lara Parker, Q+A with Chris Pennock, D.S. memories with Jerry Lacy, the unproduced 1968 episode presentation and portions of Jonathan Frid's "Assortment Of Stage Events". I did NOT include Frid falling off his chair or the videos shown during Frid's presentation since they are available on dvd from Nancy Kersey. Also did not include the entire costume gala but did include some outstanding hi-lites including our own prof stokes+victoria winters songs and some others.
