I didn't see any singing credits when I looked him up at IMDB, but he did a number of soaps. And some time from now,
we will actually hear him sing his favorite song.
Good luck with the MD tomorrow!

I always wondered if the writers didn't want to keep Ned in reserve and have him arrive in some later story line. But it didn't pan out that way for a number of reasons.

Maggie might have a few reasons for wanting to be friends with Vicki. I'll bet that most of the young Collinsport women of the same age are already married or working at the cannery. Carolyn is up at Collinwood and wouldn't (at this stage anyway) consider Maggie her social equal. Maggie might be aspiring to something more than waitressing at the diner, and Vicki has at least some education and is approachable.

Yes, right now Maggie is a utility character, but I suspect that will change soon.

Bill offers to help Burke prove his innocence if Burke will promise not to harm the Collins family. Bill mentions Elizabeth, David, and Carolyn--but pointedly leaves out Roger. The exception doesn’t escape Burke’s notice, and he realizes that Bill knows that Roger must be involved.

Carolyn visits Roger at his office, which is decorated with an essential piece of office equipment--a dartboard. While confronting Roger, Bill stands right next to the dartboard and doesn't flinch even once when Roger throws darts at it.

Roger takes THE PEN away from her because he thinks it was improper of her to accept it--especially from Burke. When Roger tries to give it back, she turns it down because it's "spoiled" now.

Bill sets up a meeting at his office with Burke....

That would have been a great idea for a sequel!  [ghost_grin]

I suppose Burke's taste in food is filtered through his experience: five years in prison followed by five years of roaming the world and probably eating everything from insects to caviar and everything else in between.

I'm with you on David Ford. It's like he can't stop blustering even when he's talking about saving his soul.

Oh, Lydia, I'm so sorry about your cat! We lost both of ours (ages 16 and 18) in the spring, so I know what you're going through.

Probably because it's still 1966, Carolyn is wearing bangs. But they will grow out!

Hail and farewell to Patrick McVey, who plays John Harris, Elizabeth's banker, in his one and only appearance. You'd think he'd be around more often, but at least she givs him tea. And he does warn Elizabeth that Burke is making inquiries about buying up all of the Collins IOUs. If she doesn't do something, all will be lost just to save Roger's worthless hide. (Well, okay, he doesn't put it quite like that.)

Bill Malloy calls Carolyn "Princess." He calls Elizabeth the "great lady"--and he means it.

In that case, welcome aboard! There's a lot to look forward to. Some other stuff, not so much, but that's the Dark Shadows we know and love.

Welcome back, Lydia! I hope your power problems are straightened out now.

I've sort of lost track of Maggie's whereabouts, and I don't remember her going anywhere but home and the diner and the BW in these early days.

Thanks for the offer, MT! Is this really your first experience of the show? And thanks for the nice words about my comments.

As far as I can remember, Sam and Vicki have met twice before:

On Vicki's first morning at Collinwood, she meets Sam the First atop Widows' Hill, where he tells her the original version of the legend of Josette.

On Day 3 (maybe?) at the diner, Sam the Second and Last tells her, No one's here but you and I and our private thoughts.
