Hi Debra,
I also have four children, oldest 21, youngest 12.  Hate to admitt it but I turned 46 just recently.  I live in Central Ma.  As I child I ran home with my friends to watch DS and was crushed when it was cancelled in l971.  When our local cable company starting carring Sci-fi a few years back I put DS on for the daughter when she was home sick from school.  Low and behold once again I have become hooked. It was great my daughter became a big fan,  We somehow dragged my husband, older daughter to the Dark Shadows fest in 200l.  Believe me, it was hard work conviincing them that going to a fest was a good idea.  My sister came also and we had a blast.  We both got kind of silly when we saw David Selby for the first time.  The two of us staring saying "There he is, there he is."
I know you will enjoy yourself on the forum.  Everyone who posts here are very nice and thoughtful.

Sky is suppose to have all that money, you think he could spring for a new portrait.  That one is far from flattering to his beloved wife.

Love Julia's reaction too.

Sooon, nothing try the razor strap.  It hung in the kitchen as a reminder to watch your step.  Actually, I remember being on the receiving end of the strap a few times.  My mother still has it hanging in her kitchen.  Scary, huh,  Let's just say I don't have a spoon or strap.

Those tanning sprays are way to weird for me.  Than again I have never been very tanned in my life.  Somehow I managed to the Irish skin and not my Dad's Italian.  The most I can hope for is a kind of golden color.  I am green with envy over Midnite's.  Babe you look great!

Birdie--who will soon have the ever so lovely golden garden tan, with the ever so lovely white as a ghost upper arms

I know I have said this before but I am in awe of David Hennesy's acting ability.  He runs circles aroung other child actors of that period or even today.

Loved him in DOOL'S.  I still remember watching him rocking to the Bob Segar "Old Time Rock and Roll".  My daughter who was very little and very sick at the time still remembers it too.

Don't laugh.  When I was first married almost 23 years ago my husband was renting an apartment for $55.00  It was some apartment!  It was on the third floor of a three decker.  Worcester is famous for it's three deckers.  You enter by the back door with a skelton key.  It had a front and back door and one to the bathroom, other than that not another door in the place.  The heat came from the old gas stove in the kitchen that you had to light with a match.  Ater we got married we painted the rooms to cheer the place up.  I think the old Italian couple we rented from raised the rent $10.00 when I moved in.  My mother named the place the penthouse on the hill.  We have gone far from the "pent hourse", but have wonderful memories.

birdie--sorry for running on with a personal story.

Nancy you raised some very good points.   Also put a new prospective on the end of the fests.   Thanks for the insight.

Wow!  Can't believe it.  I am so glad I was able to go in 2001.  My mind is in a frenzy trying to figure out a way to attend.  The dates just seem too impossible for me.

I can understand if the actors have had enough on such a grand scale.  Rainey put it so well they aren't getting any younger, even though it seems like they never age.  It is sad news.

Happy Easter Everyone.   The sun is shinning and it looks like a nice day.  Pretty soon it will be time to drag all the troups out of bed and off to Mass we go.   Every year I "think" I am going to buy less candy and every year when I put it in the baskets I realise I have bought just as much.

Strange holiday as the kids get older.  The oldest one wouldn't color eggs.  He claims 21 is a good year to stop.  The middle one is disappointed I am not making the family tradition of the bunny cake.  I am making triffle instead.  Traditions change.

Birdie--who really believes chocolate is a food group in itself.

Just had to mention how much I loved the scene between Paul and Liz.  Joan Bennett truly shined.

Also have to say I love David.  He is such a natural actor.  He reminded me so much of my brother at that age.  So very obnoxious.  He would have done the same thing to my older sister and drag me right along with him.  It is too bad they had to have David become one of the Levitations.

Carolyn has been acting like a reasonable adult especially with the Todds.  Her disbelief that they did not contact the Dr. with a sick child or try to contact the parents.  Thank goodness someone said that.    Cheers to Nancy.  She uses great eye expression and body language

All I can say about those shows and the people who take part are they are the lowest of low.  I also have no use for the "reality" TV.  This  does not say very much for the American viewing public.  Hope I didn't step on anyones toes.
