Fortunately, this is only a subway ride for me. From work, it is a three station ride.
Hi Carol. Choosing hotels for events also has to do with what price breaks a hotel is willing to give for blocks of rooms for a convention or large gathering. I have heard from various sources that the Marquis in Times Square will discount rooms but to the tune of over $200 a night which most fans could not afford. In fact, which most people without an expense account could not afford.

Not thrilled with the Brooklyn thing. I was truly hoping it would be a the Marquis. I like the idea of it being hosted in Newport. Of course that is just a dream. Just wondering if that has ever been looked into? It would be a wonderful place to have it.

Not thrilled with having to get there on Friday, my kid's birthday is the day before. Maybe I will sleep on the flight from Las Vegas so I can get some rest before the Festival. I will dream of Craig Slocum.
