I pre oredered both compilations from Amazon to give to my niece fo rher B-Day. I already have all the dvds so I don't see me needing the compilations, but I'm going to watch them with her at least once just to see how the edit is.
My niece is a DS fan so she should like this, and if this goes over well then maybe I'll give her future edits as gifts too.

That snake design on the cover makes me think about the Leviathons. Could they be returning for this story? Hmmmm....

Fair enough. I understand too the need to keep the series in the "now" as it is the present for the character, whatever the date is.
But as a fanatic, I try to see the bigger picture linking the individual stories, and like to imagine how it all fits togather.
Are there more audiobooks planned after Curse of the Pharoah in addition to the full cast series? I wish we could get DS full cast and audiobboks every month like the Doctor Who range ( which I also subscribe to) but I'm grateful for every release!

I wonder if anybody has any thoughts on where they place Path of Fate in relation to the other DS audioplays? I put it after all the other two reader plays but before the Big Finish  full cast audios.
I read a review of it on Amazon where a reviewer placed it after Return to Collinwood, which seems pretty obviously set some many years after the full cast Big Finish audios.

Lovely play, a real study of Angelique, with a real kicker of an ending.

I remember hearing speculation somewhere that Betty Hanscomb was Jameson's daughter, and Vicky was Betty's child by Paul.  Maybe Betty could have been played by Joan Bennett as a dual role?
But for me, Liz is Vicky's mother. I just wonder who the father is? Jason is the most interesting choice imo.

I do like Maggie and Willie's friendship, and I never felt like she was encouraging anything more.
I do really like Maggie and Joe as a couple. I never really felt that Maggie was that into Nicholas, so it seemed odd that she accepted his proposal.

I never got romantic vibes from Tad/Carrie or David/Hallie. Tad and Callie seemed very much like brother and sister to me.

Yeah, I know about the connection between Chris and Quentin but I still ship them anyways
Too bad they didn't interact more on the show.
