You know what I find sad? That soapnet can pick up "90210" quicker than they can give "DS" a second thought.

As the others said, the revival series from '91 is NOT out on DVD, yet. Maybe they're waiting to get all the original series on dvd before they put that one out. At any rate, I hope there's commentary, if they DO put that one out on dvd. Even so, I'd be one of the first to dash to the stores if it ever came out. :) Been thinking about that rendition a lot lately. Not to mention my mom teases the hell out of me b/c she has them all on vhs. :sigh: ~DJ

I voted for Maggie and Kitty. I liked Maggie in the early episodes, but I didn't like her later on when she constantly became the frightened victim. I loved Kitty in the beginning, especially since she was different from all the other characters. I didn't like her as much after they turned her from a golddigger into another Josette clone. I didn't like any of the other characters.

Ahhh. Magtoria! I should copyright that, ya know? Magtoria was what she became after Alexandra Moltke left the show. You see, they needed a new engenue, and Maggie was ... well... there! And she was popular enough with the audience to have been inserted in that role at the time. So, Maggie-- VERY SADLY-- filled the shoes of Victoria Winters. Thus, Magtoria was born. I really hated that... As my husband put it, that's really character assassination. Maggie was a really good character, and admirable at some points. ~DJ

I had to comment on this, myself. I really love the way this board is decorated. And someone's one hell of an artist! ~DJ

I've always thought Ann Rice got her inspiration from that storyline. And you're right, she IS a DS fan. What year was IWTV written, anyway?

I also heard Ann Rice got a lot of her inspiration from personal experiences. I think that mainly pertained to Claudia, though.

And how do you guys DO that spoiler text thing? I'm new here so I'm almost afraid to reveal too much without knowing how to do that. ~DJ

I guess I've got the dirty mind here, then. :) I always thought the "hoochie koo" and "terrara boom deeay" were Pansy's way of "yada yada'ing" over suggestive content. She wasn't exactly an angel there. ~DJ

John Karlen truly was superb in all the roles he took on within DS. But I've gotta say, Willie Loomis has to be my favorite. I think Carl would be a close second, though, but Willie I'll always hold close to my heart. I always felt so sorry for him. He felt irrevocable sorrow for having let loose on Collinsport and its people a plague they could never have imagined in their worst nightmares. No wonder he goes crazy for a while... No, wait. I take that back. He might have gotten out of Wyndcliffe, but I don't think his mind ever fully recovered. Poor guy. ~DJ

And by the way, does anyone know what in the world the hoochiei coo and tarara boom deeay things are?!?!

ROTF! Ever hear of the lambada?

I'd have to say my favorite song on DS is Josette's Theme. It's so eerie and so sweet at the same time. "I Wanna Dance For You" would be a close second. ;) ~DJ

I'm in total agreement with this one.

Hi, I'm DJ and I'm new here. Been trying to get into this forum for MONTHS! But, as far as the subject goes, I have a very vivid imagination and once watched the introduction of barn episodes on my laptop. I had my headphones on, the volume option turned to theatre and the lights off. Doing that, it was very easy to put myself in particularly Maggie's shoes when (not trying to spoil anything here) a certain incident involving Barnabas occurred. It was a very scary situation for her, I would imagine, being away from her family, her friends, not  knowing what to expect next. Some of those earlier eps I will admit are the stuff that nightmares are made of. ~DJ
