Many thanks for the report Steve...gawd, I wish I could've been there.  :-[   :-*
Hope you all had a blast!
Go RJ!  ;D   :-*

p.s.  I'm part way through the bio, and I have to say, the book is fantastic. It's SO well researched; educational and entertaining at the same time. A nice mix of funny, thoughtful and poignant moments are woven throughout the text...and the pictures enhance the experience all the more. Just a damn good read, period.  [book2]

Talk about a double-take...I was just about to post about the same article, Josette!  lol

I looked it up too. In addition to the link you found, here's a link to the article from the Pittsburgh paper:

Three big cheers for RJ...congrats!

Barnabas and Julia took a break from their neverending research into the Collins family history to raise a toast in your honor...

I decided to include it to show the range and versatility of her various performances and that she was a risk taker--

One of many reasons why we luv her!

I think Polly Maggoo is great fun too...I've seen a version with subtitles (although the picture and sound are not great quality), and a much higher quality version that's all in french. As far as Grayson's role is concerned, her attitude, various hairstyles, makeup, and outfits are priceless. One highlight for me is when, [spoiler]after Miss. Maxwell looks over the layout of fashions, she emphatically states "Divine...DIVINE!" And of course when she says: "beep-beep!" to Polly near the end...[/spoiler]

I cracked up when i first saw that movie...(my initial reactions to Grayson's various roles were an interesting thing to behold... ::)) 8)

Oh my Gosh...Thanks Connie   [blshy]   :-*

It was an accomplishment of sorts. I had been submitting pieces for the past few years, was flat out rejected. So, this was unexpected.

Btw, one of the Grayson pieces made it - yes!  I feel like making chocolate fudge cupcakes and passing them around...

I keep meaning to post on one of your items that I'm from Pittsburgh, but I never seem to have done it!  Anyway - what gallery - maybe I can get a chance to go see it!
Wow - I had no idea another "cousin" was in the area.  :D I'm still waiting for some of the details, but I know that the opening reception is August 10 at 5 P.M., downtown, at AIP (Art Institute of Pittsburgh.) [if you need detailed directions feel free to PM me]
The front half of the first floor of the building is a gallery - they have various shows year-round (not just student work). Generally speaking, the gallery is free and open to the public during business hours.

It'll be downtown from August 1 - Sept. 30. After that they're moving that particular show to another area right outside of town...where it'll be on display from October 7 to Jan. 6 2007 (not December as I mentioned to others privately - oopsies.)

Happy happy Birthday, sweetcakes! ;)

[banging on door] "What in the hell is going on in there?!"

Don't party too hearty...hehe xoxo
