I remember seeing promos for a new gothic/mystery soap opera on ABC, so I was anticipating it. I watched it in the afternoons until the local affiliate changed it to air the following morning. After that I could only watch it during the summers. Nostalgia-wise, I always think of the intensity of the times when these shows first aired in the sixties.

The Blue Whale is one of my favorite sets. It has that sixties atmosphere especially in the very first few eps. 8)

The pre-Barnabas episodes are in black and white and they are some of the most enjoyable IMO. Some of the storylines--Vicky's arrival at Collinwood and her search for her identity.
Burke Devlin tries to clear himself of manslaughter charges.
Bill Malloy's murder.
Vicky's kidnapping.
The Phoenix. 8)

It was amusing watching Mitch Ryan in the clip in which he forgot his lines. Those poor other actors in the scene were sure thrown for a loop. He's still one of my favorites on the show though. 8)
