I have spoken with Jim Pierson via emails in regard to adapting the entire run of DS as a series of Graphic Novels. He has told me that if I can find a publisher interested in the project there would be possible.

When I was a kid watching DS in its original run on ABC it was a tradition for 4 years! I remember the last day of the show ....I watched it with tears in my eyes knowing that this was the last episope and being annoyed with my grandfather who was sitting behind me and said "Thank God this piece of s**t is over!" That hurt but it did not phaze me as much as not seeing the characters I loved and cared about one last time . Instead it ended with characters I really did not give a rat's a$$ about. And the final slap in the face was [spoiler]Stokes declaring that there may be a vampire at Collinwood and the camera shifts over to the portrait of Barnabas..... a PT BARNABAS who lived a normal life!![/spoiler] I felt so burned by the way DS left us.

Unfortunatly this is where the comic ended since THE PARALLEL TIMES decided to cease publishing. I did a revision of the comic in 2000 which if anyone is interested in seeing I will be happy to make available.

I enjoyed the book. My main problem was the lack of continuity in ONE IMPORTANT MATTER just to justify a plot twist at the end of the book ...... Barnabas was NO LONGER A VAMPIRE upon his return to 1971 from 1840. Angelique had lifted the curse before she died. Lara Parker either: 1. Did not do her homework researching the episodes 2: Just did not care about continuity  3. This is a Parallel Time story in yet another dimension of Parallel Time.

Unfortunatly I have lost touch with many of the people I was involved with in Manhattan Shadows over the years, all I really have left from those days are photocopies of the comic strip I did for Parallel Times and 1 or 2 photos.

I love the time travel stories!! 1795 and 1897 are my favorites, I did not care so much for Parallel Time or Parallel Time 1841. As a matter of fact I was always upset that DS ended in 1841PT. Those characters I had no attachment to. And then the final scene with [spoiler]Melanie being carried in with wounds on her neck and Stokes suggesting a vampire was on the estate as the camera shifts over to Barnabas' portrait was all wrong!![/spoiler]  The PT Barnabas was not a vampire, in PT he had a normal life, married Josette and had a child (Bramwell)
