IMHO, I don't think a person can be cured of greed, which is what I believe was one of Angelique's primary motives for the trouble she caused.

She wanted to have everything Josette had so she
stole Barnabas away from her. then when she found out Barnabas didn't love her she took revenge in multiple ways.
Wow, this really does sound very similar!  [ghost_cool]

At the risk of sounding repetitious, these were superb scenes between Nicholas and Julia and Nicholas and Angelique!

I always love it when Nicholas puts Angelique in her place.  [ghost_cool]

Perhaps Julia was disturbed by the fact that someone as evil as Nicholas could admire her.

This is one of the best episodes of the series!

I can't blame Vicki for being angry with Roger, that dream he had is too ridiculous to be believed.

I think barnabas's and vicki's sudden telepathic abilities can be explained as a convenient plot device since cell phones hadn't yet been invented.  [ghost_grin]

In the beginning of this episode Jeff talks about trust to vicki, and then later on he's hiding things from her.  [ghost_huh]

when Eve tells Jeff to look in to her eyes in hopes that he'll remember her and the past, it's as though she's trying to put a spell over him, at least that's the music that usually plays when someone is trying to gain power over someone. but Eve has no magical abilities so it was rather odd.

I always enjoy these happy tranquil moments between Elizabeth and Vicki.  [ghost_happy]

well, Barnabas now knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the vampire's bite.  [ghost_sad]

I realize Maggie is in the dark where Joe is concerned, as far as not knowing why Joe is behaving the way he is, but I still think she's being a bit too harsh about the situation.

Where once Willie begged Barnabas, now Barnabas is begging willie, quite a reversal of roles.

At least Willie was smart enough not to fall for Barnabas's trick of trying to get him to leave the room. Too bad
he was tricked anyway, making Barnabas's escape possible.
Mrs. Johnson tells Barnabas she resisted the temptation to call the sheriff, but she didn't resist, Harry stopped her!

Julia and the sheriff meet in the woods and Julia says "The woods are scary." it sounds so very much unlike her. It's quite jarring to hear.

At the end of the episode Barnabas seemd as if he was giving in to the fact that someone was bound to discover he was the victim of the vampire, and that if anyone found out, it might as well be Julia. It was as though it was a relief to him that someone finally knew.

I understand where roger is coming from in wanting to add Liz's little bells and whistles to an already existing mausoleum, but I still think it would cause talk in the town. Not as much as a brand new mausoleum might, but I can just see the townsfolk gossiping about all the workers they've seen down at Eaglehill refurbishing an old mausoleum, and not only that but adding extra gadgets to it that don't make sense. Of course roger might pay the workers to keep quiet, but word always has a way of getting out in Collinsport.

It's sad to see this decline in Joe.  [ghost_sad]

Maggie seemed so awkward when she was trying to get Joe to tell her the identity of the woman. she's caught in a difficult position, having once been so close to Joe, and now trying to be a friend when she clearly still loves him. I felt bad for her.

If Julia had been in the room when Joe was delirious she would have found out the identity of the vampire. Too bad she wasn't.

I felt sorry for Mrs. Johnson in this episode. First her son walks out on her, giving her no explanations, then later, barnabas arrives, obviously ill, and he is vague with her. She only wants to help but no one wants to let her.

I wonder why barnabas asked if Joe had taken his medicine for the night, because even if he had, barnabas knew he had to kill him, so an extra dose could only help the situation along. If he hadn't asked, and Julia hadn't told him Joe had already had his medicine for the night, later on
he could have claimed ignorance by saying he didn't know Joe didn't need any medicine.
In the 1967 story arc, the curse completely influences barnabas's behavior, while in the Leviathan period, he is being controlled by the leviathans, unable to break free of them. I very much enjoy the two contrasting views.

I agree with other posters who mentioned that
that Paul Stoddard's death was sad, and that it would have ben interesting to keep him around to see how he would interact with everyone once they had all been released from the Leviathan influence. His character could really have been interesting.
Adam is more observant than he seems, saying nicholas talks as if he owns him and Eve, which in a way, Nicholas thinks he does.

I realize they had to do a flashback so we the viewers could understand that Maggie's memory was returning, but I think they were also trying to remind us that Barnabas hasn't always been so nice. Perhaps they were getting bored with the human barnabas and wanted to return to barnabas being the villain, at least temporarily.

It's rare we get to see Willie placed under a spell and I enjoyed watching it. Willie seems to fight it a little more than others we've seen, although he did eventually give in to Nicholas's power.
