Welcome Mary Elizabeth.  I am fairly new to the board as well and they certainly are very welcoming!  Even if Sci-Fi didn't pick it up, it would be great to see something like TVLand or KDOC (Los Angeles local) pick it up for late evenings...probably wishful thinking but KDOC has been getting out of their Columbo/McCloud/Banacheck phase and are now showing Twilight Zone episodes.

I miss DS on the Sci-Fi channel- even if I didn't get to watch it every day, it was wonderful when I was not feeling well, stayed home from work and could curl up in a blanket and watch the re-runs.  Made staying home sick a little bit easier to swallow! [hall2_cheesy]

Oops...it's football season and I forgot to add DS as one of my interests....thanks for seeing my oversite.

What is the fan group called on MySpace?  I didn't find it first time around.

Happy Halloween everyone!

PS...I watched a show on Vampires over the weekend (it was either on A & E or the History Channel) and they said that after Bela, there hadn't been any interest in vampires until Dark Shadows and Barnabus brought it to the forefront again....

If this message shows up more than once, I apologize...Hi Penny, I added you as a friend.  I haven't yet found a group for DS but I think tht someone from this group would probably hear about it first.

Myspace account is www.myspace.com/norwegiangal.  Please feel free to add me!

Happy Pre-Halloween, Everybody!

Hi!  Is anyone using my space right now?  Does anyone know if there are any DS groups on myspace.com?

Hope it was very special and that you are continuing to celebrate!  I like to make the birthday day and stretch it out to a weekly celebration!

Happy Belated Birthday!

Whew!  I managed to look at them all in one sitting too....looks like you all had a fabulous time while visiting Los Angeles.  While I was only at the fest for one day and just for a few hours (enough to catch the pilot and the gala and visit with a few friends)..I had the opportunity to relive the experience vicariously through you.

Thanks again for sharing!!!  [hall2_cool]

I absolutely adored Mitch Ryan as Burke Devlin.  I thought he was quite handsome.

I also adored anything that Don Briscoe played...there was something about him that always made him my favorite.

Nancy Barrett as Carolyn Stoddard or any other character was always great.

Did you read "Hawkes Harbor which was originally intended as the story of Willie, Barnabas, and Jason?

No, I had not read this book.  I lost touch with S.E. Hinton's work in the mid 80's or something and was not aware of the DS references.  Learn something new every day!  I guess I will have to look at this - thanks for the heads up.

I am checking with my fiance to see...we get a couple of local shows but we are on Charter not Adelphia so there's a good chance I can't get it....Darn!!!!!

I have always loved her writing...the Outsiders, Rumble Fish and That was then and this is now.  The latter movie was filmed in my home town....with Emilio Estevez as one of the lead characters...just recently rewatched it...and saw lots of local locations and friends that I have not seen in many years.

S.E. was one of my first favorite writers- at least during my teen years....along with Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstocking) who was my favorite as a child

Congrats and happy birthday.  That's quite an accomplishment on the book!

What cable channel for Arlene Peck's show?  I live in Los Angeles but have not heard of her show.

Welcome Pansity!  And Midnite, thank you for the info on Oliver.  I am sorry to hear that...I have him on DVD somewhere in my house doing Starshine but am not familiar with the song Jean.

Thank you all so much for all of the very kind welcoming comments- this truly is a delightful board and great folks!!!!

I am going to be travelling next week without any access to e-mail or a computer so will have to catch up when I get back.

Have a fabulous week next week, Everyone!

I new I would be outed!  Starshine is one of those great songs...and whatever happened to Oliver?????

Thanks so much for the warm welcome!  It looks like a lively group and one that I am excited to be a part of!

I currently live in Los Angeles (so that's why the attendance of the LA festivals) and spent a day at the festival this year...which I think was Saturday night.  I was there to see the screening of the WB Pilot and also all of the wonderful performances by the fans.
