Yipee!!!![hello]
McC's making a stop in "The Valley of the Sun!" [sun]
This will WAY make up for me missing "The  8)  Boss" in August while I'm out of town.  ;D

Well, I never been to Phoenix, but I kinda like the Beatles......

Hey Ringo! October is our "patio weather" [beer] month here in AZ, so make a little more room on that magic plastic for a visit!

Take what you like from some dude and leave the rest. Some David Selby eyes, the guy who played Gregory in Love!Compassion!Valor! (or whatever it was), I'd throw his butt in the mix.  Some Chris Noth here, a bit of John Holmes there ( ;)).  Just pull the good parts off the shelf, some assembly required.

ROTFLOL Nancy! [hello]
Oh, if it could be so easy!
(Selby-eyes, Holmes, in the same wrap??  YOW!! :o)

When you think about it, Deputy Hottie was more or less the male equivalent of those one-shot streetwalkers that Barnabas encountered in various flashbacks.

LOL!!! ;D
I love it, "Deputy Hottie!". This is my first run watching these particular eps, and the surprise eye candy was sure a nice touch!

That's fascinating, that they were using some actual antiques and didn't even realize it! ha!

Hi there John,  :)

I've been corresponding with a fellow on the East Coast who has two warehouses of "props," on each coast. The most recent thing he emailed me was about a small, semi circular table that was on the DS set, that he believed was antique. He is supposed to send me a photo of it soon.

Personally, I'm looking for some of those candlesticks and/or sconces, I'd LOVE to get my hands one one! ;-)

Well, as usual, I loose "all control" on my DS collectible spending at the festival. . . . .

glad to know I'm not the only one, LOL!! ;D

There was a woman who was selling off her DS collection and had some rather rare items including the original 1968 Barnabas glo-glo poster (which she had professionally framed)

whoops, my bad![blshy] She raised the price on that poster from $500 to $700 when I opened my big mouth saying I saw a near mint glo-glo Barnabas poster sell on eBay for $1000. I didn't think the shape hers was in, was in that great of condition compared to the eBay auction, but she raised the price anyway. D'oh! I'll zip-it next time ....
:-X

He gave her not only the WE HAVE IT pink gum card poster - BUT a variation on this poster which to my knowledge, NO ONE ever knew existed.  Dean

WOW!  :o what a find! Congrats on a such a rare acquisition!

It also explains the use of multiple types of animation. I've seen a couple of posts where folks had commented that the animation looked rough.

I think that is what made the animation tie in to the message, "what isn't loved, dies" (paraphrasing). We weren't distracted by technicolor and special cartoon effects that are so common today. Instead, we were drawn into the characters, as I think the director was intending the viewer to do.

One thing I did like about the film was the combined use of traditional sketch/cel animation, with computer animated techniques to illustrate the story. I'd like to see this film featured at more animation festivals around the country. I hope now that it was featured at the DS Fest (and on Selby's and Cris's web sites), it will get more exposure outside of West Virginia.

I was saying that the person's name was announced from the podium during the Fest and therefore I don't think that repeating it is a legal issue but rather one of discretion,

Yes Midnite, you are right on about discretion being the issue vs. a legal matter. I didn't make myself clear enough, my concern was for Joe, or anyone else posting photos on a website of someone who might not be capable of giving direct consent.

But then again, "discretion" would've been a nice word to follow in certain instances over the weekend, eh? ;) lol.

A follow up to my previous post about the variables of supply and demand. Check out this auction ending this evening for a 1996 MPI Music Box that many fans passed on initally for the $40.00 price. ;D
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1546402153

Isn't that wild?

I recently (last December) purchased a 1996 MPI Josette's Music Box from a girl who's mom was "cleaning out her closet".
It was autographed by TLATKLS. Purchase price? $15. and I threw in an extra $5 for shipping. Yes, total = $20. And it is in excellent shape.  :D

I was chatting with another collector when the DS Memoralbilia Auction was going on Saturday. One of these 1996 MPI music boxes went for around $335 (similar to the ebay auction Bob noted). This fellow next to me said that he had two 1996 MPI music boxes at home, never removed from the original box.

My comment to him?
"You'll never go hungry"  ;D
