I've heard somewhere that Flora's husband could have been Jeremiah and Laura's son. We know that Jeremiah and Laura were married at one time. A previous marriage was hinted at between Jeremiah and Joshua in one of the first 1795 episodes. In 1897 when Laura returned, Barnabas remembered "Laura" as Jeremiah's first wife. The timeline would fit - the son was born before 1795 w/Flora being in the 40-50 age range.

I checked Amazon today and noticed the discount, too. $30 bucks is awesome. However, I wonder how long it will last?

I have a few ways that might work out for this new secton.

Have each DS DVD Volume have 2 threads - a DVD review thread, where people post reviews and ratings for the collection - and a discussion thread, where people discuss the episodes on the DVD Set and the overall impact of the collection in the DS world. Also have 2 "Top 5" categories - Top 5 episodes and Top 5 Characters for each DVD Collection.

The DVD collection rating system could be based on a scale of 1-10, (1 being the worst and 10 being the best). It offers more flexibility that a "5 star" system like that on Amazon.

Hopefully others will participate and be helped by this new section!!

A boy - where to begin!!

Time traveling on Dark Shadows pops up so many theories, that one can get a migraine trying to wrap our minds around it. Nonetheless, we do it anyway!!

So according to the opening voiceover, this same ceremony happened "originally" in 1897.

I suppose that some other reason was involved in conducting the ceremony, one not involving Barnabas.

As far as Angelique is concerned, I just don't see here involved "originally" in 1897.

It would have been nice to see what "originally" happened in 1897, w/o Barn & Angelique's involvement.

I have the 1840 episodes on tape, recorded off the Sci Fi channel on their last run of DS. I believe it was when watching those tapes that I heard the music.

That sucks about your DVD player, and with a DS DVD stuck in it. I would not be too happy.

Question: Did you hear just music or was there any singing with it? I know you feel in sounds modern and not 1970ish.

I remember hearing what seemed like music during several episodes of the 1840 storyline. My guess is that another tv show or movie or something was being filmed near the Dark Shadows studio at the time of the filming (1970) and the sounds of that were recorded by DS microphones!

I don't know for sure - just my take!
