I saw a movie once with Ben Cross (the 91's Barnabas) that featured a girl named Angelique AND was about vampires, if I remember correctly. I thought that was too bold to be a coincidence. But, i think this was before Ben Cross starred in DS: Revisted.

Incidentally, I've only known 1 Angelique in my lifetime. It's an extreeemely rare name, but beautiful. ~DJ

David Selby was definitely another great talent on DS. Not one of my faves, but a brilliant actor. Even though his 1897 Quentin made me mad at every quick second, he still made me laugh. He had a really animated way of delivering some of his lines. I think he certainly brought life to that storyline.

I can't say which is my favorite characterization, yet. Gotta see the rest of the Quentins. Oh! And I STILL haven't seen "NODS"! ~DJ

the chapter is actually quite praiseworthy of the show itself.it comments on strong writing and specifically the performances of johnathan, nancy, kathryn and lara.

Then the man must be blind. He forgot to mention Karlen. :-p

I still don't get that leviathan storyline... what exactly happened during that time? ~DJ

I think my mom and I have a lot in common. Dark Shadows was just the icing on the cake. ;) I'm still surprised to see to this day just how many ppl from my generation have taken interest in the show, as well. ~DJ

You know your eyes are goin' bad when instead of "All My Children" you see "All My Chicken". ;)  Time to get new glasses! ~DJ

Welcome! So, you got your son into DS? My Mom did the same for me when I was 15! It's been 11 years since I saw my first DS episode and as you can see I'm still hooked. I even met my husband and had my beautiful daughter b/c of this obsession. :) Needless to say, my hubby adores DS twice as much as I do. He may be joining us on this board pretty soon! ~DJ

I'm watching vol. 13 of the dvd series and it's actually laughable how Maggie will one day be in Victoria's clothing. And then the NEXT she'll have changed back into her OWN clothing. Maybe she couldn't bear Victoria's loss so she had to become her in order to compensate. lol

The truth of the matter is I think Maggie was going crazy, anyway, with her underlying knowledge of
BEING BARNABAS' BASEMENT DWELLER
for a while. Throw everything else that happened to her into the mix and that very well could prove to be a logical explanation for her change. But to fill the position she eventually did? Still not buying it. ~DJ

lol. That IS cute. Never seen these before. Thanks for posting them! ~DJ

I should hope so. We as fans want to express our devotion to DS and some of our talents lie greatly in the creation of wallpapers, manipulations, and music videos. I, myself, enjoy making Dark Shadows music videos. When I do this, I do it for fun and to entertain those who love the show as much as I do. I'd really be saddened if I were told to stop producing them online. Though, I would never stop creating them for my own entertainment. That's just insane. ~DJ

(Vicki wins hands down.  Did it never occur to that poor girl to get the heck outta there? LOL)  Members?

Oh, but there would ALWAYS be one to replace the victim if they should leave Collinsport. Who else would the villains pick on? ~DJ

Now Lady Kitty I have yet to see. I think that's another storyline I've seen bits and pieces of, but I don't really remember anything short of the part where Lady Kitty ran a gloved hand down the door at Collinwood.

I've always thought her best acting shone through in the scenes where Maggie and Willie got into heated arguments. Especially
when he had her concealed in the mausoleum.
There were times, imo, when she just seemed too try a little too hard when she was in scenes with Joel Crothers. But as I was telling another ds fan through email, John Karlen's marvelous acting seemed to rub off on a lot of the other actors with whom he was in a scene with. ;) ~DJ

Sorry this is happening to you, Connie. You said you're using internet explorer? You're not the only one experiencing problems with it. But the reason it started giving me problems was b/c of all the pop-ups. After I installed a pop-up blocker, the stupid browser acted like it was possessed! It crashed at every opportunity. Do you have netscape handy? Maybe that wouldn't be as bad. That's what I'm using now... ~DJ
