Just to add to the set 5 story...Mpi did say they were willing to replace just the defective disc so that was very cool of them....

Thats great Ksgemini!
I've been thinking of purchasing a dvd player myself and ordering the set for ds so I've been learning alot about what to expect from everyones responses here.

Hi Dr.Eric Lang,  Did they make that spray stuff for the hair back then?  If it's the same one Im thinking of I thought it was relatively new on the market?

If it was the spray they used on Michael's hair that would at least explain the stiff hair look then.

Darrin, I've been reading all through these posts and find it so interesting and facinating to read.  You're doing such a swell job and I wish I could be of more help to you in finding the lost episodes.

I wish you the best of luck with your search and whatever you do, don't give up!!  Somethings bound to come along sometime.

Thanks Midnite!  I think maybe it might just be different for the moderators because you all seem to be stuck at the same number and I know I hit the "cure" button for you but your numbers never change.    Maybe that's the limit to how many cures you can receive but I find that an odd number to stop at?  You would think it would be an even 100 say, or maybe 150 and so on?

Cassandra, thanks but I dont know what version of IE you're using but it doesn't change over for me unless I refresh the page as Midnite said to do.   You might have an updated version of IE.

Thanks for the help though and I think Im finally catching on and looking over the past questions in 'testing" has helped me also now.

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Karma
« on: May 09, 2003, 10:32:54 PM »
Hi, Im trying to figure out this new Karma thing thats displayed on the page that tells how many posts a poster has.

I can see there is a "cure" and "curse" button on the page. Now, does this mean if one likes what a poster has written, he is suppose to click "cure?"   And if one disapproves or disagrees with what a posters writes, he is to click "curse?"

Ok, now heres the thing,  I had clicked the cure button for a couple of people, and I noticed that their numbers stayed the same.  For example, I wanted to hit a "cure" button for dom because I liked a post he had written but when I clicked on cure, his karma number stayed the same?

Then when I hit a cure button for a few of the posters, I get a message about having to wait 24 hours??  Does this mean you can only use the cure button one time in 24 hours??

This is all new to me so please bear with me on this. :-

Okay, now I realize what happened. The movie I was referring to was made in 1985 and starred David Carradine as Leroy and Carrie Wells as Rhoda who had dark hair.   I went and looked it up and this one was apparently the remake.  I saw both the original the remake and thought both of them were good, although I thought the original to be more chilling maybe because it was made in b & w.

Thanks Gerard!

Cassandra

Cassandra,  I know which one you are talking about,  I saw that same movie also.  You are right, it was around 1985 sometime and I remember it distinctly because the child who played Rhoda looked alot like a little girl in my daughter's elementary class at school!!  Scary thought huh!

If I remember, it was a pretty good movie in itself and that little dark haired girl (Carrie Wells) played such an evil Rhoda. Patty McCormick was good too, but IMO, she had such an innocent face, Carrie Wells looked just plain evil!!!   ;)

Your title made me think this was going to be a farewell Amanda thread, lol.

LOL!!  And I thought it was going to be a farewell to Michael the leviathan brat post!!  I guess we were both wrong!  sorry Patti!

Yes I do wish that Paul could have been on somewhat longer than he was.  He and Carolyn were just beginning to get to know one another as father and daughter.  She waited 20 years for him only to have him act like a raving lunatic half the time because of the leviathan pact.   I think it could have worked as far as father and daughter went.

They do seem to have alot in common.  They're both evil, blonde & cute! ;)

Cassandra

You're right about that Cassandra.  They could have almost passed for brothers IMO!    I think it's so much more chilling when you see a child behaving this way because you wonder what will he be like when he gets older?  Scary!

That was some movie!  That little girl sent chills up my spine too!   Didn't she kill him with her lovely little shoes? And then a neighbor found them in the garbage dump so she finished him off too?  Been a long time since I saw this one but I remember it was spinechilling.

LOL!  Thats the truth!

Annie, I remember that Lucy episode myself and it was one of the best funny episodes that I can recall!!   That one and the one of her stomping down on the grapes with her bare feet & trying to make wine is one of my favorite Lucy shows!!
