Thats true Cassandra,  a villian yes,  a lover no!

You know come to think of it I dont think any of Prof.Stokes characters had any love interests on the show.   I always thought that he had a thing for Julia but nothing ever became of it.  That's sad because they could have at least paired him off with someone!   >:(

I agree with you both Patti and Eleanor.  I liked Petofi too and I thought he made a superb villian!  I always wished that the powers that be would bring him back the way they always did with Angelique.

I watched Diary last night and found it superior to Rose Red.  Twern't no masterpiece, but the goings-on, especially all those trysts, made it totally watchable.  It almost had a DS quality to it.
Gerard

I enjoyed "Diary" much better also Gerard.  I liked Rose Red too but found it much too confusing with all the goings on.   In Diary of Ellen Rimbauer There was more of a plot and IMO I think they should have showed this movie first since everything that happened actually took place before Rose Red was aired.

I was under the impression that he could change anywhere he wanted to but the room at the antique shop was supposidly the only place where he would be really safe when doing so.  Im thinking this because Barnabas is always saying how "safe" he is when he's in his room.

And how about how there are always two cocktail glasses and a Sherry waiting conveintly nearby on a table when someone suddenly has the urge to poison someone! ;)
Cassandra

Except of course for that one time when they just happen to have three glasses available when Naomi Collins came to visit Barnabas and Angelique right at the same moment when he was planning on poisening his new wife!    ;)

Current Talk '03 I / Re:The Jeb/Carolyn Romance

I was just thinking, given that another, very popular actor on the show specialized in portraying "brash young men," why he wasn't cast as Jeb!  The possibilities are actually quite interesting if you think about it ... Roger Davis might also have been physically more in keeping with the series of actors who portrayed "Joseph" (just kidding), "Alex" (yikes!! I mean Alexander), and "Michael."

OH HEAVENS NO!!!  Please don't even think that!  Seeing him during the 1897 storyline was enough for me so Im thankful that he wasn't chosen to play the part of Jeb.
You're right about him playing brash young men though but maybe by that time the Director and Writers had enough of him. ;)

I favored Carolyn and Tony Peterson as a couple also.  He was level headed enough for her and wouldn't stand for any of her nonsense.   They had very good chemistry together too.

Gerard, that was too funny!!!

Digging up a grave in the middle of the night isn't exactly a common occurance (on ds it is though) so why doesn't any one ever get caught??   And funny thing no one ever notices that a relatives grave has just been dug up?

Actually, 127 is a very significant number. In computing, it relates to the number 128 (everything starts at 0, not 1), and 128 is one of computing's "magic" numbers. So, it's not all that surprising that the person who wrote the Karma feature would set the upper/lower boundries at +/-127...

Really?  I find that facinating that the numbers start at "0" in computers as I've never heard this before.   Do you have any idea why "128" is considered a magic number?  Im not that computer illiterate so Im just curious as to why and how they pick these certain numbers for computer magic..

Thank you for taking the time with me on this. Im trying to study computers in my free time and this is surely something new so it interests me.
