I guess after walling up Quentin, doing the same to Gregory wasn't that difficult lol!  She probably walled him up in another room in that wing.  Imagine David and Amy finding that room instead!

Current Talk '14 II / 1897 Original Ending

I have posted this on the Dark Shadows Episode Discussion Facebook DS page, I was wondering what any of you think:
Without Barnabas in 1897, I don't think Beth shot and killed Quentin due to jealousy over another woman. I think Edward and Judith eventually discovered he was a werewolf and that Quentin ended up killing Beth as a werewolf whereby Edward or Judith shot him with a silver bullet and Quentin dies on the chair in his room.  Edward and Judith, in order to cover for the Collins family name, decide to wall him up in the room and tell people he went to live in France.
IMHO, this is logical for how David & Amy found him and David stating they would give Quentin the burial his family refused hi.
A few episodes after Barnabas kills Carl, an episode ends with Nora walking in on Barnabas biting Beth or Charity.  I actually kept wondering up till the next episode if he would actually kill Nora too and this was a very uncomfortable ending giving what we just seen him do before with Carl.

In the original timeline I think Crazy Dirk was the one who killed Rachael, Pansy, & Carl before probably being shot dead by Edward.
Unfortunately, this is the point where 1897 starts to spiral out of control for me.

It was mentioned that in 1867, Laura Radcliffe took her son, David Radcliffe, into the fire.

Perhaps the Aunt Kathryn mentioned in 1967 was Nora's daughter.

IMHO, the original timeline perhaps had Quentin saving them?

So, Barnabas would have been ok if Laura staked him?  That would have made the timeline go crazy and we'd have the Grandfather Paradox over & over ad nauseum.

Did he do the old age makeup in HODS too?  What about other characters "aged" on DS?

So, Ben died in 1816 at the age of 70.  When Prof. Stokes first appeared he said Ben lived to be 80 and from this we gather he died in 1830.  Perhaps Barnabas trip to 1796 changed that.

I think 1840 was way past the time for Ben to be alive.

In the original timeline, it possibly played out similiar to this with Laura controlling Dirk to get information and his mentioning of Jenny.
Which will lead to Quentin's werewolf curse.  In original 1897, I also think after Lauras demise, it was Dirk, now insane, who murdered Pansy, Rachael, & Carl and was killed by Edward
Given that the family did make it to the present time already, It irritates me that Barnabas doesn't realize this and thinks its up to him to do something before she destroys the children & the future.

Obviously, she was defeated the first time 1897 happened.

Why did it take Laura a year to return when 1967 Laura returned as soon as she "died" the first time?

Another example she may not be the same Laura of 1967.  Is it possible she is a weaker twin of the other Laura appearing in separate times?

So, this makes Barnabas 20 in 1795!
