Barnabas:  "I admit it.  It wasn't Vicki who sent you that embarrassing, hideous, paddle tie, Clark.  It was me.  I figured you'd think she had bad taste and, well..."

NoDS was filmed at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, NY, the same location as HoDS.  Quite a few DS festivals/conventions have been held there.  I believe virtually all scenes were filmed on-site rather than on specially constructed sets.  The Lyndhurst Estate continuously pops up in various TV shows; the latest I've seen was on Four Weddings.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was offered the role of Ford Brody, one of the main characters of this summer's blockbuster Godzilla.  He turned it down and the part went to Aaron Taylor-Johnson.  Well, at least another hyphenated actor got to perform it.

Imagine, if DS had continued, if they had a kaiju plot, with Barnabas and Quentin battling a rubber-suited dinosaur stomping down Collinsport.  Buying all those Legos might've broke the budget.
