can i just ask a ? has there been a fest or convention every year?
it seems to me that things seem to be pointing to the end of the fests
i'm glad JF is going this year and i just wish i could be there but the summer
months never seem to work for me i'll just pull out the dvds and watch
the arrival of Barnabas i have to say i fall into both groups i love  Barnabas(Bramwell
never worked welll for me mainly because i thought he should have ditched catherine)
and i love the whole package that is DS no other show has ever provided that same magic
for me it is like a first love

those maxi skirts i made one in sewing in junior high 
rachel drummond seemed to wear the same dress the whole time she was on while Laura changed sometimes twice a night
maybe it was done to say one was poor while the other rich??

to me kathryn leigh scott had the "gamine" quality to perfectly carry off these styles.she wore the shortest skirts of any actress on the show.

slightly off-topic but having met several of the actresses on the show i'm struck by how tiny some of them are.the camera definitely adds hieght.nancy barrett and diana millay are pint-sized!kathryn and alexandra are slightly taller but i still had to look down to them.lara parker and marie wallace are the only actresses i think that seemed tall to me.

i have been rewatching 1897 and i always knew Nancy was short (hey i'm 5'1") but never realized Diana was too
i also thought she had the prettiest dresses of all the 1897 ones
