Lots of groups were talking about the Frid special video he made for the fest...was this a rumor or was it played at the Fest...i can not find any post in this forum that mentions it being played. >:D

Current Talk '04 II / Episode 85-Scene with Carolyn and Sam

I just watched episode 85, and it had so much good stuff in it, including the first scene with future real life married couple Nancy B. and David Ford....in the whale while Sam was 3 sheets in the wind with Burke.....Carolyn arrives and Sam takes her hand and kisses it......neato......

I do not recall, but is that one of the only scenes in the series where these 2 actors have lines with each other....would appreciate if someone would advise.

Also, the whole idea of Burke "needing or wanting" a drinking buddy is cool......and Sam sure fits the bill.  I loved the Drunken Sailor song so much i recorded it off the video to my computer.....

In addition, the scenes at the big house between a doting mother - Liz and her spoiled daughter Carolyn were priceless.....reminds me of scoldings my mom gave to me back in 1966 when i got too big for my britches.... >:(

Yes i know i do have too much time on my hands it seems.......but the following DS Characters remind of other famous people.....

1/ Betsy Durkin/ VC II  could play Monica Lewinsky
2/ Head of Judah Zachary could be Phil Collins----sorry to any PC fans i might of offended...
3/ Nicholas Blair in some scenes seems to have mannerisms of Errol Flynn
4/ David Collins mannerisms remind me of Billy Mumy when he was doing such things as that Twilight Zone Episode as the kid who wished adults and animals into the cornfield..
5/ Mrs Johnson in some scenes reminds of that character Mrs Olson on Little House on the Prarie

Ok, thats all for now....anyone have any thoughts on this subject????

I am thinking about starting a thread on the menu at the Collinsport Diner.....geesh ;D

I am watching the first season of DS on VHS and would welcome any posters who would like to dialogue or comment on the storyline.  I have some vivid recollections of watching this as an 11 year old in 1966, but as time has passed i have changed some of my opinions on certain characters----i have just concluded episode 30- airdate aug 5-1966.  Hope to hear from someone that thinks pre barnabas is kewl too!
