Calendar Events / Announcements '03 I / 'ello again!
« on: June 11, 2003, 08:24:48 PM »
Well, a couple of months ago, I went to Birmingham, UK, just to catch a couple of Pauly's shows - and ended up working the next 22!   I didn't get to go to Russia, not enough time to get the paperwork thru, but Europe was pretty wild.   I am sooooooooo far behind in the DS viewing - I let my wife give up on trying to keep a fresh tape in the machine, but I think my tapes from last time thru are almost complete.  I will try to play catch-up and also read thru the messages here.  Things look good here, and looks like pleanty of activity.  I have mail to go thru, too, and it looks like this is the last of the DS festivals???? :-[  I will try to make this one, for sure.

Not too much to report right now, I am going thru rolls and rolls of photos and video tape and goodies.  I have been home almost a week and it seems like I have a years worth of stuff backed up.

I may not be as regular here for a while, till things level out, but I am still here, and still rocking.  But I do need a TLATKLS fix, fer sure!

Will be back soon, for more funnies and hunnies,
cheers,
Ringo [jester]

I  can see it in your eyes
You still despise the same old lines
You heard the night before
And though it's just a line to you
For me it's true
And never seemed so right before

I practice every day to find some clever
lines to say
To make the meaning come true
But then I think I'll wait until the evening
gets late
And I'm alone with you

The time is right
Your perfume fills my head
The stars get red
And oh the night's so blue

I think I know what this means!! [bouncer]

and bring up an old subject: The 'Go To First Unread Post' feature.  It sure would be nice, since 'we' [read: the mods] are going thru a series of changes anyway.  I just spent about a week reading thru the '1245' thread, thinking 'geeze this sounds familiar' because I didn't look at the date, and thought it was a new thread, till I came across a wonderfully intelligent and humorous post, and realized the posters name was 'RingoCollins' and the last episode of 'Enterprise' deja vu'ed me right in the bald spot!  I do visit/disrupt other boards [mostly music boards and GSN] and the ones that have that feature are very easy to keep up with where ya left off.  I know, I know, try reading the bleeding date, Ringo, but lazy I am, and will continue to be.  Not complaining, at all, you guys are juggling many balls right now, and I know the squirels are having to use heat lamps to keep their nuts warm right now anyway, but I just thought I would bring it up, again.  Any other way I could be a painintheass?

You guys are doing a great job,
please don't slash my karma rating!

Current Talk '03 I / Joanie on IGAS
« on: February 03, 2003, 11:21:56 PM »
Just watched last nites/this mornings Black and White Overnight block on Game Show Network, and Little Joanie Bennett was on the Panel from a 1953 show.  [She looked about 22 years old!] I think this may have been the second show of IGAS ever, as Garry Moore was still explaining the concept of the show in detail.  I don't know if they are gonna show more of her on the panel - it seemed like GM was introducing her as a regular member of the panel [anybody know??] or if GSN will show them in order of orig appearance, but fans of JB may wanna set the VCR for GSN at 4am to 6am if ya wanna see more of a younger Joanie.   I will bump this show into my 'archives' if anyone wants a copy!.

cheers,
Ringo

p.s.  The guests secrets were: 1) I built a special coffin with a wake-up call device 2) I stayed in my home for 18 years [and found out later I didn't have to!] and 3) I married a so-called-Rev, and barfed on my wedding night.  Celeb guest: the ghost of Minerva Tra$h

[OK, I made the p.s. up, but JB really was on IGAS!]

Current Talk '03 I / Early cut to commercial???
« on: January 24, 2003, 05:15:28 PM »
It's too bad we cut to the commercial so quickly when Magda [in a wonderful performance] was giving some 'traveling advice' to the so-called-rev today:

Walk fast.....
Walk slow....
 [cut to commercial]

......what we missed:

Walk like a man, and Frankie Valli will overtake you;
Walk away, and Joe Walsh will overtake you:
Walk this way, and Steven Tyler will overtake you;
Walk to New Orleans, and Fats Domino will overtake you;
Walk on by, and Dionne Warwick will overtake you;
Run around Sue, and Dion will overtake you;
Run away, and Del Shannon will overtake you;
Run on empty, and Jackson Browne will overtake you;
Run scared, and Roy Orbison will overtake you,
Run through the jungle, and John Fogerty will overtake you;
and if you just try to Beat It, Michael Jackson will overtake you! [ the most scary horror of all!]

[jester]
cheers,
Ringo

Jerry Lacy also turned in a great performance today, eh?
so did JK, what a hoot! [the dropping of the arm from behind the curtain remind me of Hitchc0ck] [can we say that??]
and .......yeah, yeah.......the Q-man looked good too!

and weather note, it is 8 bloody degrees here in Atlanta!
[global warming my a$$][and where are all those flashbacks I was promised???]
