I just discovered that Dennis Patrick is listed for the Cannon which MeTV is showing now - it's about 1/4 into the show.

Mannix has gone back to the beginning of the series. An older actor seemed very familiar, so I decided to look him up. The name was David Hurst and the picture on imdb was from Star Trek. I recognized that, so I looked through the listings and then discovered that he was also Justin Collins on DS - I had no idea!!

I noticed a change in the forum's operation and I'm wondering if it's a temporary glitch with the restored system or if it will now be part of the regular operation. I've always wanted it to operate this way and suddenly it does!!
It used to be if one did "refresh" on a page, instead of getting that page updated, one was taken back to the home page. Now, suddenly it IS refreshing!!!

This is weird. I recently wrote about the "page load error" in the drop down list by the DS icon. Well, suddenly that disappeared. There is no icon for DS at all. If I type "dsboards.com" (on Firefox), I get to the "is back online" page, but when clicking the link to enter, I end up with a blank white page.
Then, I try it in Chrome with the same result. But, if I go to Google, then click on Dark Shadows Forums, I get to the same page, but when I click on the link there, it works, and the first time I had to sign in again. At least something works, but it doesn't make sense that the same page doesn't work when brought up on its own, but it does work if I get it through Google.

While I’ve been asking some of my long-term curiosities, here’s another one. I don't think I trust the viewership numbers.
The Acronyms Gone Wild on the Games Board has its last post from me almost 1 ½ years ago. I could see that maybe some newcomers would look it up. As it’s a long thread, perhaps some, bit by bit, go through the whole thing, so the viewer counts would increase a bit.
But, I can’t imagine there would be extensive views, especially every day. For a long time I’ve been keeping track of the number of views, since it’s been such a puzzle. Sometimes it just went up a few to 20 or 30 views a day, but it always went up at least a bit. But it often also had jumps of 100 or more in a day! That just seems totally inconceivable. Lately it’s gone through a prolonged period of more than 100 a day. Here are the counts from July - times are generally between midnight and 2 or 3 a.m.

I didn't know until he appeared, so I didn't bother posting it. This was Tuesday the 11th into Wednesday the 12th. He ended up being the murder victim, so he wasn't around long, but while he was there, his character reminded me very much of Jason - so that was rather fun!

I've been wanting to ask this for several years and never get around to it.
Sites that I use regularly I usually don't bookmark. In the drop down list where you enter the address, all of the recent sites are listed and those that aren't usually come up if just one or 2 letters are typed.
A few years ago I tried to get to my WordPerfect forum and there was a problem and I got "page load error." A day or two later it was fixed, but the icon in the list still said "page load error," but it took me to the site. After a while it changed back to the regular icon.
Shortly after that the same thing happened here. But, my icon still says "page load error." A while back, maybe a year or two ago, I suddenly realized that the picture of the icon is for DS - I don't remember if it always was or if it changed at some point. Anyway, next to that picture are the words "Page Load Error" and then the url for this site.
I'm curious why the WordPerfect one shortly after changed back to the regular listing, while this one has stayed with the error listing.

I had my computer "in the shop" for a week. I went to the library to keep up with e-mail and regular things like this. The first day, I think I was at what I'll call Branch 1 - I got to the forum, remembered my password, and all was well.
The next several times I was at Branch 2 - I'd get to the page that says "Dark Shadows Forums is back online." I'd click the link to the forum and it was blank - the url was up in the address block, but I could get nothing but a white page.
The final time I was at Branch 1, tried again, and the forum came up. It doesn't make any sense that it wouldn't appear at the other one.

I knew she was to come up again, but hadn't checked recently. I didn't recognize her at first. There was a pretty blonde who looked familiar, and I had to look it up to see who it was. What a surprise!!
