I'll do a full report later, but just to add my two cents here:

Fantastic job on Return to Collinwood.  Both the writing and activing.  This will be available on videotape and should be well worth whatever price they come up with.

I had never seen the Costume Gala before.  This was excellent.  And Marcy Robin (Shadowgram) deserves an award for Best Hostess.  I've never seen anyone more dedicated to making sure that the fans have a great time.

The fan videos were fantastic.  I can't believe we didn't sell out on copies.  If anybody was there and doesn't know who I am -- I was usally wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans, sometimes with a grey suitcoat.  I was often at the dealer's table filling in for Bobubas who was very busy socializing (pictures to be posted later  ;D ).

Special thanks to Nancy K and Bob I for everything they did for me at the fest.  It was great being on your team.  Looking forward to our next adventure, wherever it may be.

Will detail later.

Steve's right -- there's a $10 ( :o bus from Boston to New York that leaves from Chinatown (almost around the clock I think).  My new office is only a couple blocks from there.   :D

I decided since I haven't taken a day off since Christmas, I deserved better than a bus ride.  My co-worker recommended the Amtrak Accela over the airport shuttle as it gets you closer to the city -- and won't require an expensive cab ride.

Plus, I heard many of the Acela trains have internet access.   ;D

I'll save the bus for a trip to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun.

IF YOU COME TO BOSTON FOR A VISIT, DON'T DRIVE.  LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME AND TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

Sorry for shouting, but it really is the best advice.  I hope everybody survived their ordeal driving around Boston  -- next time let me meet you outside the city first -- I could have gotten to Salem or Gloucester by the Commuter rail.

See you in New York,

I'm taking the Amtrack Acela either tonite or tomorrow.

I decided to start a new topic to separate this from Newport and New York.  If you read that topic, you know that Bobubas is coming to Boston on Tuesday Aug 26 after spending Monday at everybody's favorite mansion in Newport.

My new best friend Keith just got promoted to Day Bar Manager at a bar between Downtown Crossing and Chinatown.  How about a get together on Tuesday at the bar.  They serve great food, at a reasonable price for downtown Boston.

If anybody has DVDs, I can play them on my laptop.  They probably have a VCR there -- or I could bring one of mine.  I've been working so much, I'm probably going to give up taping Passions & Days for a while.

I'm working on getting the best deal on Red Sox tickets for Bob Tuesday night.  Does anybody else want tickets?  Many seats are available -- wide range of prices. 8)

I also put a hold on a hotel room in the theater district.  I know the concierge who may be able to knock down the price for me.  I'd highly recommend Shear Madness -- half price tickets the day of the show.

Amazingly I got both a job offer for that weekend here in Boston taking photos for an AIDS triathalon and found out that one of my new friends has an apartment in New York through August 31.  (He's living in Boston so it's empty right now.)

What to do?

Hoping to hook up with Bobubas in Boston.  Sox tickets are available that night.

Probably can do Newport on Sunday but have to work on Monday.

Thanks for the info on Mark, Josette & Midnite.  I did have his phone number and snail mail too once upon a time -- although I thought he may have moved within Florida.  Will try the email.

I do think I'll go to Newport this weekend -- it's so easy from Boston.  And I'm working on Sox tickets for Bobubas -- and asked for 4, Bob, so that a friend and I can join you.  Will be sure to take digital pics.

Will try for NYC if budget and time allow.

Hi Josette,

I always think of you as the board cheerleader -- the one who reads everything on the scifi boards and always has something nice to say.  I'm sure I've missed some great stories.  Is Marcos still writing?  He was always one of my favorites.  I also remember telling you something about Microsoft Word -- was it changing your apostrophes and quotes from smart to straight?

I haven't posted in quite a while.  I first found most of these wonderful "cousins" at the scifi board.  I've only been to one fest -- in 1995 -- but I did attend the Frid show on Long Island and two Selby plays in Hartford.  I've mostly gone by brocman -- Nicky rechristened by BrocBaby after I hooked him up with Buffy -- which was not originally shown in Montana -- how awful!.  I've met my former neighbor Gothick -- and he invited Aimee over for a wonderful afternoon of DS fun.  I met a few people in Hartford and Long Island -- but mostly I've been the mysterious cousin from Boston.  I loved meeting David Selby in person, and was very glad to get his autograph, along with his castmemembers, on several copies of the script of Long Day's Journey -- one of which I gave to my parents on their 40th Anniversary.

Thanks to Midnite, I'm back online.  Where to start?

Midnite:  Thanks for all your help!  A big cyber-hug.

Bob:  You want Red Sox tickets?  I know a concierge -- I'll get you prices.  Least I can do for the mousepad and the Hartford pics you got developed.  I'm interested in Newport trip.  Easy bus ride from South Station.  Write or call me.

Gothick: How are you?  Where are you?

Nicky: Drop me an email.  Are you going through Buffy withdrawal?  Did you know Tabitha's new baby is to be named Endora?  And that her new neighbor is Nurse Kravitz!

I'm working on going to NYC but is dependent on finances -- been short a roommate at home for many months.  Finally got somebody for September 1.

Missed you all,
BROC ;D
