Blair will always be the ultimate power broker of Collinwood in my opinion.  Sad that he had one weakness which cost him dearly [ghost_blink]

well at least we didn't hear costello or other stage hands yelling the lines out as in the famous "GO TO THE HOUSE OF THE CURSE" prompting. maybe i was a bit to harsh on Mr. Powell. [ghost_wacko]

At the risk of repeating a prior post

Carolyn Stoddard had the best hair in Collinwood circa 1966-68 and certainly was the best dancer. [ghost_mellow]

Julia was very direct when she turned to Loomis and said "Oh Shut Up Willie and get to work" when
Willie was getting spooked in the old house basement from the ghost of Trask while he was supposed to be digging a tied up barnabas out from behind the brick wall
Julia could dish it out with the best of em....too bad she was a bigger quack than Donald Duck [ghost_tongue]

In one of the interviews on DS DVD releases Roger Davis bemoans the fact that Addison had to have his Dr. Lang lines taped on his (Davis's) shoulder, so for him to chime in Barnabas's missing moment makes the gaff even more hilarious.

If you watched the movie "Three Days of the Condor"...Addison Powell gets his just due for being such a goof.

i had always hoped since ex-lax was a big daytime sponser on DS that the writers would have had Dr. Julia pass out a few of those from her bag instead of the ready made injections and sedative pill that were hard to swallow....
remember when she was concerned that Adam would not be able to swallow a pill to make him sleep just after he came to life?
Can you imagine some of the great disappearing acts of Collinwood elite if they had Hoffman hand out the ex -lax instead of the sedatives....candy or suppository...whats the dif?

And since the good doctor hoffman was a bigger quack than the AFLACK duck, who at Collinwood would come back to complain about a little thing like constipation...Roger, Mrs. Johnson?? ?? ? after eating her boiled dinners it would of been a line up at Dr. Hoffmans little bag to get some relief [ghost_mad]

Current Talk '08 II / Re: Barnabas VS Buzz
« on: August 19, 2008, 12:27:31 PM »
There was a great opportunity for Buzz and Jason Mcguire
to square off during the scene where buzz was sitting on the collinwood stairwell trying to block Jason coming down....it could of escalated to a real fanny kicker with Jason taking Buzz on
but instead we are left to wonder Buzz whereabouts after the wedding.

I feel sure if Barnabas had been given a chance to see that cycle that Buzz was driving around he would of wanted it....heck who wouldnt after coming out of the box after 175 years...he would of used Buzz to round up the cattle he needed and would of strangled him if he got too cocky

The irony, and the power, of that scene between B and A is that if Barnabas had recognized his true feelings in the first place, he would have saved himself and everyone else a great deal of pain and suffering.

yes, and  it would of cut the DS series run on ABC by 4 years [ghost_mad]

at the risk of bringing up an old post----not unlike
Dr. Lang having Jeff Clark go out to that other graveyard and dig up parts for the soon to be Adam.
I had full confidence in Dr. Eric Lang in being a board certified doc in Collinsport and on the staff of Collinsport Hospital until this week as i am watching the episodes just after
the car crash that sent barn and vic to the hospital after they hit that deer that was blinded by their headlights.
but now i know why Dr. Lang had to use script notes taped on Roger Davis's shoulder in order to complete many scenes...wow what a potlicker...but back to my point---hmmm the good doc lost all my
votes for DR. of the year in Collinsport when he
had what must of been a rotting pieced together monster without a head waiting for the head of Jeff Clark to complete it....what was he thinking of with that little scalple?....bloodless surgery?
Dr. Lang did have one redeeming quality...remembering other actors lines....."REMEMBER DAVE WOODARD" [ghost_shocked]

And who could forget those amazing trousers he wore in 1795!

Did Forbes ever take his sword out of its scabbard?    [crossbones]
