Calendar Events / Announcements '02 II / Frid Book
« on: August 27, 2002, 08:57:37 PM »
Hello all!

I rolled out the second printing  ;D of my career biography of Jonathan Frid, An Actor's Curious Journey at this summer's Dark Shadows Festival.  This printing has some minor text editing and ...for your viewing pleasure...more color!  If anyone here would like a copy you can contact me at  loqitar@msn.com  for details.

And, BTW, I'm always interested in feedback from those who have already read the book.  So, drop me a line or post here!

Oh cool ;D   I bought a ticket thru the Fest.  I believe group ticket holders are to meet at the gate at 10am (when the Park opens).   Is that right?

Karen, I'd love to join y'all and make a nicely balanced 4th on those seating arrangements 8)  Space Mountain...Watchout ;)

Karen...keep an eye out for a continuation of this Disney plotting and planning in a private email.

Ooops ;D  Dated myself again.  I used to think Paladin was sooooooooo cool.  However..... I was very young at the time so the details have faded from my memory. ;)  Ahem, it WAS my tender years at THAT time that caused this memory problem, NOT my advanced years at this end. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it;D ;D ;D

Seriouly, that show (Was it actually named "Have Gun/Will Travel ?!?) and Zoro and Maverick and a handful of other 50's shows that were in re-runs in the early 60's were great fun to watch. IMHO :)  Not as much fun as DS, mind you, but....

Here, here Brian, a most excellent summation of the character. And, an description that helps make clear why so many people found a character like that so utterly facsincating, especially when seen on a soap opera in the era when TV was commonly referred to as a "vast wasteland."

Oh, me too, re "The Wedding". That episode was sooooo anticipated and had huge ratings. GH was so hot it even made newsmagazine covers, etc during that era. I've long since lost interest in that series, but that was a fun time to be a viewer. HOwever...I noticed at the check-out counter recently that Luke and Laura were getting back together. Who knows, I may tune in for a few eps just to see that going on.
