Love it! Don't know for how long, but a sampling of the song is featured here:
http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/music/artist/card/0,,459958,00.html
select: Barnabas Collins
Here's most of the lyrics heard in the clip (as best as I can figure them out):
"...Gal out the candle
Take off your bangle
Turn ya neck pon your right angle
(repeat)
He dem the best in the business
Barny chew ya neck like a Wrigley's
(repeat)..."
The song was a big hit in Jamaica in 1980, and #1 on the Reggae chart in the U.K.

How funny! You know, when I was at the DS Fest in New York in 2004, I ran into a businessman in the lobby who wanted to know what sort of convention was going on. When I told him it was for DS and showed him my program he got very excited. He introduced himself as Orville and said he was from the Caribbean--and that he used to watch DS on TV in the 1980's. "I know it was on originally in the ¢â‚¬Ëœ70's--we get everything much later than you get it in the US--but I used to watch it all the time. It's very big in the Caribbean. Everyone watches Dark Shadows!" I wonder if Lone Ranger reflects the interests of that era.
